  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Maybe you should take some time to do....absolutely nothing. Or watch something on TV that doesn't demand any brain at all.

I have learned that a light that burns very brightly burns out quickly. And once you are burned out it can take a very long time to light that fire again.

Well, usually I just mess around on my guitar when I get completly exhausted, but my roomate always keeps his music so loud. So with my guitar volume trying to compete with his stereo system, I just end up with a headache.

Who says I'm burning brightly? :)

I'm nine months pregnant, have three little kids running around all day to feed, clothe bathe, launder, and pick up after. We homeschool three days and drive from an hour to an hour and a half each way to school the other two days- where I spend my mornings in the nursery with the two year olds and my afternoon in the pre-school with the 3 and 4 year olds. In the evenings right now I am trying to get everything all wrapped and ready for Christmas, address cards and birth announcements. I have people demanding things from me the moment I awake until about an hour, sometimes two before I go to bed....

Well, I don't have nearly that much stuff going on. :)

But it sounds to me like you are probablly more physically exhausted at the end of the day.

It's just all around exhausted- it's why I end up on here- I have a hard time devoting myself to reading- and my husband is works most nights. This place still seems like a worthwhile use of my time, though not as demanding as The Mill on the Floss( that's the novel I'm reading right now).

I was really just being a smart aleck!! My husband and I laugh now that we used to get really mad at each other because there was no way that the other one could be as tired as the other.... that was when my son was a baby... now exhaustion is just an accepted part of life and we know we are both equally as tired! BUt it was really funny that we used to get mad at each other about it! (Funny now- not then!)

Yea, I'm always told how exhausting parenting can be. Hopefully some day I'll meet a girl stupid enough to fall in love with me. Then maybe I'll be able to experience the same joys that you do. :)

getting exhausted is fun
Getting physically exhausting can be, but not mentally exhausting.

Besides the hour I spent attending Mass, I've been reading for the entire day. That's about 12-13 hours of reading. (Yes, I even read while I'm eating) I feel like my eyes are going to pop out of their sockets. ;)

Actually probably the easiest and fastest way to get exhausted is emotionally exhausted.

I didnt get a chance to go to Mass today. :( I didnt get a ride

dont read so much...just relax
That's what I do to relax. Besides playing guitar, the only non-reading activity I do is playing chess online. And as you can guess, that is just as mentally demanding as reading. :)
