Hi everyone,
This forum was pointed out to me by someone from a Christian discord room and funnily enough I have been searching for a Christian forum to get plugged into. Looking forward to jumping into the discussions on here.
Just a bit about me:
I was a lukewarm "Christian" all my life until I met my now wife. Between her example, my father-in-law's promptings, Bible Project, and ultimately the Holy Spirit I just couldn't un-see how awesome Jesus is. It totally changed my life, to the point where if I could do it all over again I'd probably get a PhD in Biblical Studies, and I have toyed with the idea of going to seminary for fun or even as a career change possibly.
I am teaching myself Koine Greek with "Basics of Biblical Greek" by William Mounce, have completed the Certificate of Christian Apologetics through Biola University earlier this year, and I have taken every Classroom offered by Bible Project so far. After I finish the Greek I hope to take the same entry level resources and learn Biblical Hebrew, but these are both lifetime pursuits.
I am in my mid 30s and starting a young family and a lot of my focus right now is establishing family traditions and rituals so that my family can actually "live" the Biblical story and that faith in Jesus is something important for my children to have.
I pray that everyone stays safe during this crazy time, and that God blesses and keeps you. P.S. my avatar is as close to my "look" as I could find online, my beard is at least that long.
