  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi Folks,

This video is so helpful in responding to concerns about our baptisms because people often do have valid questions regarding if their first baptism was valid or not.

I was fortunate to have a video so I could look back and make sure that I was baptised in the name of the Father, Son and Holy spirit because I was too new to Christianity to know that that should happen. But I have always worried because the pastor made a point to state that the baptism was only symbolic and that nothing special happened. Because I didn't believe that. I didn't believe it on that day and I don't believe it now. I *do* believe that something special happens between us and God in the waters of baptism.

But thats not what this video is about specifically. It's about the questions we have about our first baptism being valid and if we should get re-baptised.

In my case I think my baptism was acceptable before the Lord because i was immersed after I was Born Again in the name of the father , The Son and the Holy Spirit. And even though the Pastor made that statement, I don't think the Father voided out my baptism because the pastor made that statement. But he had no business adding his personal opinion. His job was just to baptise correctly.

So I thought you may have your own questions about your own baptism. So I wanted to post this video.
