Other than a personal bias in favor of the bible, can you point to any other reason why this would be true?

Thank you.

The stories in the bible have been translated, not changed. The events and people in that took place haven't changed over the years. but of course you wont accept this answer either because I mentioned the Bible. :(

There's another web site with more detailed information, including site maps, and other findings here...

Based on a satellite photograph during a period of extreme melt in 1973, I find this information highly credible as well, since all credible reports put Noah's Ark somewhere between the 13,000 and 14,000 foot level on Mt. Ararat.

I think the recurring rectangular pattern in the ice makes a pretty good argument as well, especially since it's the same measurements as the ark itself.

of course, so is a chunk of sidewalk outside my door... and a building across the street... and that bridge by the river... and a zillion other structures...

Actually, no. A global flood would not explain an ice age.

Specifically which ice age are you referring to?

The world was quite different when Noah and his family stepped off the Ark.

Indeed.

Had there ever been such an ark and flood, the world would have been uninhabitable for quite a while.

Well, not really very good on the technical details.

Here's a review by a christian geologist, who points out the many errors in Woodmorappe's work:

According to the Torah, Noah didn't have to gather all of the animals. The animals came to him.

None of which explains the problems with a global flood.

Why would the ark survive until the present time? Wood generally does not last long in aerobic conditions—it rots. What are the conditions that have preserved the wood? What reasons would God have to miraculously preserve the ark? Are those reasons biblical?

Technically, GraftMeIn, God didn’t destroy the world with the flood—he destroyed life on earth. Why is the ark a “magic” safe haven from God? When would you know that the world is about to be destroyed—or when would you know that life on earth was about to be destroyed? Please give me biblical evidence or your interpretation of biblical passages that lead you to this.

Also, where in the Bible do you find evidence for a global ice age as a result of the flood? I look forward to hearing from you all.

The ark could be frozen in Ice, It could survive the same way the wooly mammoth did, It was frozen and it's fur, skin or body didn't rot.

Technically you're right God destroyed life on the planet.
The ark is not magic I never claimed that it was, I just suggested there is a possibility God could use it again, as a way to bring souls back to him, that have slipped away. But I never said he intended to.

try reading Matthew 24, and Mark 13, also revelations If you need to know what the signs of the time of the end will be.
There are many more scriptures about it, throughout the entire Bible, So if you read it you'll know.

I never claimed the Bible contained anything about a global ice age. Either has anyone else.
