  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You obviously don't have a clue.

I would request you to step back for a second and think about the situation you ended up in here....

You, not a geologist, are talking to a person, who IS a geologist, about rock formations and what can and can't happen to those formations.

And you, the non-geologist, is telling the other one, who's actually a geologist, that "he doesn't have a clue".

Reflect on that for a second.

If creationists actually listened to experts in their respective fields there wouldn't be any creationists.

I have, you reflect on this...

First, I don’t think all scientists are in agreement with this claim. This was just another ‘flash in the pan,’ as they say, for evolutionist’s wishful thinking. Many scientists are so eager to save face with regard to their going ‘all in’ for macro evolution that they will jump on anything to serve as a ‘dot’ in their ridiculous notion that man was a progression from fish, amphibians, reptiles, dinosaurs, and mammals. I don’ blame them, I would be groping too. This ridiculousness will be put to rest someday, and when it is we need to have a gigantic diploma burning.

‘Tic Tac’ is yet another extinct species, not evidence of macro evolution in any form or fashion. Odd as it is, it’s just another fish that met its end. There are many odd fish. There are even fish that fly. Did they turn into birds?

Can someone produce an updated article on ‘Tic Tac,’ not twelve years old, that puts ‘Tic Tac’ in the spotlight as an undisputed transitional between kinds? I think an update was my first question to KomatiiteBIF way back in the thread and I never got an answer. I’m not interested in isolated rock formation finds and predictions, unless they contain or put together a succession of actual transitional finds showing partial changes in appendages, organs if they are so lucky, etc. If rock strata are that predictable, those shouldn’t be that hard to find.

You mean the smoke screens for lack of actual evidence for a change from one kind to another.

The fact you keep referencing changing "from one kind to another" just reinforces my point.

(Hint: "Kind" still has no biological reality.)

The Lord's word... and if that doesn't work for you, there's always common sense.
The Lord's word? You mean, a shallow and theologically unsatisfactory interpretation of Genesis which I would not subscribe to even if there were no theory of evolution? Not a chance.

This is just an insult to me and i would say every geologist i know, which are a lot of geologists.

Who would we be trying to save face from? Some hidden shadow-government entity that finances our careers? lol.

And really if we were hiding out feelings, one would expect us also to be hiding fossils, or something along these lines, which is just silly. I have a ton of fossils, and i have nothing to hide. None of them contradict the theory of evolution in where they have been discovered. Of all the people i know who work with fossils (some being pretty close friends) also are continually fond of telling me of the things that they've found. Also, none of which contradicting the theory. I have nothing to hide from them nor do they from me.

This is some imaginary world that you have thought of, where geologists are secretly hiding information from people. Its like you just cant come to grips with reality in that, we are the ones producing the science, we arent hiding our inner feelings nor is there any sort of bizarre conspiracy going on.

Here is a more recent article from 2014.

And no, tiktaalik isnt just a fish. It has a flat head like a salamander with its eyes on top, an unfused neck from a robust pectoral girdle, so it had a neck that could turn and look around, rotating rist bones, a robust pelvic girdle and spiracles for breathing air.

If anything, it has more tetrapod qualities than fish qualities. However it also has fins, scales and gills.

It is truly both fish and tetrapod.

(Hint: "Kind" still has no biological reality.)

Since there are only 2 kinds and this does have eternal biological reality, you should say that you are unaware of this Truth in Genesis Chapter One. Lord God/Jesus always makes temporary creatures subject to death...ie. Humankind is His kind, made by the physical hands of Jesus. Genesis 2:7 All Humans are temporary and subject to death.

God (Elohim-The Trinity) always creates Eternal Beings. ie. sons of God are Their Genesis 1:21 kind. See how simple? The sons of God (prehistoric people) never sinned since they never had the Law. AFTER one is born Spiritually, in the N.T. they are called the sons of God, because their sins have been forgiven.

Sometimes I think evolutionists get mixed up between His and Their kinds by making a vain attempt to turn God's Truth into a man-made changeable, Classification System. Amen?

So did Urantia.
Science is validating things revealed in the UB. Science continues to invalidate the inconsistent, pseudo-biographical story of creation that the Israelites wrote which was later converted into the Word of God.

It's an odd fish, one of many strange creatures with unusual features. Where is the celebration, the spotlight on the 'game over' show, if all scientists think 'Tic Tac' is definite proof of macro evolution? You even had to produce a four year old article. If there were no doubts in the scientific world, this should have been the Super Bowl for evolutionists.
