  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

funny how when you're pushed into a corner about providing proof you post something that requires an inference. The fact is either these skulls are humans OR they are apes...it would help to see their whole bodies.

i'll ask you again....can you provide me with any airtight piece of proof that shows darwinism to be true?

That's not how science works. Science doesn't do 'proof'. Science tests hypothesis and theories that are based on evidence. The theory of evolution is based on several independent lines of evidence. The theory of common descent is well supported. If you would like to read how, read the following but until you do, you might want to reserve making comments on the matter. You seem to be making them while you are still ill informed on what the theory of evolution actually is and how it is supported.

http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/comdesc/

That you ask for 'proof' shows that your understanding of science and what it is is lacking. Evidence either supports or falsifies a theory. It does not 'prove' a theory. That is true for science from atomic theory to the theory of relativity.

Care to fathom a guess as to which of the skulls are human and which are apes? Where would you draw the line? Why? What would you use as a distinction?

What is the difference between humans and apes? Can you name 3?

Aren't you asking them to go against their faith, supersport?

Yup they are one or the other, and as for your other demand, you know by now that science doesn't do proof, it however does demand evidence of a contrary opinion if you wish to falsify it. So far you have offered nothing and I very much doubt that you could offer anything, but we will give you the chance.

Can you offer anything to disprove evolution or do you only have the usual arguments from incredulity?

well heck...then why does everyone call it a FACT if you cannot even give me 1 piece of proof? What is this SCIENCE or SESAME STREET -- the land of make believe? You guys act all high and mighty and ridicule those of us who live on faith, but you are no different.

I could care less about those silly skulls....the fact is your mechanism for change is faulty -- which nullifies your whole theory.

AV1611VET, what are you talking about? o_O

Well, it's like I've always said - Atheists worship better than Christians do:
  • They go to church (home) every day.
  • They tithe 100%.
  • They observe the lords table daily.
  • They baptize (shower) themselves daily.
Just to name a few.

why don't you answer my question? How/why do mice develop into mice while humans develop into humans if they share the same genes? You guys have been telling us for decades that because we share 97% of the same genes with apes that this proves we are descendants.........so did we descend directly from mice or apes?...evidently our DNA is closer to mice.
Actually, the percentage fluxuates between 97 and 95. We also share a percentage of genetics with bananas - about 50%. Also, every baby born, is 99.5 percent identical to every other baby.

From what I'm reading, it looks like you might be thinking of evolution as a linear occurence. It's not.

Give this page a thorough reading. It's lengthy, but very educational. Well worth the time. :)

Because science doesn't do proof, it is a preponderance of evidence and evolution has it and your fairytale does not.

Sorry to see that you are falling to the level that has gotten you banned from several boards. Just a friendly warning, you need to stick to rational arguments, not just shouting "I want it to be this way".

Mincus, I was talking about the "Atheists practice their religion every day" one.

To be honest I don't know if some creationists honestly believe evolution is a religion or not... In this particular instance I think it was just an attempt to provoke a response. My advice would be to ignore such posts where they aren't relevant to the main topic.

Well, I thought I'd just be nice and throw you Atheists a little compliment, but seeing as how you're such sensitive guys, and so prone to misunderstanding, I guess you couldn't see it.

Blatantly avoiding the advice I just gave joey4444. ;)

I assume by this you're insinuating atheists worship themselves...
Being at home every day? That's kind of a given for anyone with a home.
By "tithe" I assume you mean eating and working for money, yes, most atheists will do this, along with plenty of Christians and members of other religions.
Not sure what you mean by "observing the lord's table daily," atheism has no deity or "lord."
And I should hope most atheists shower daily...

In conclusion? Yes, atheists behave much like the rest of the human race in that they live at home, eat and wash regularly.
