I take it you have that sinking feeling from starting a thread only to have what you thought was a water tight argument shredded within seconds. And worse still, you have absolutely no comeback other than a threat that second guesses God's intentions to destroy us all.

How very, very sad.

Orange,

I typed up a nice reply and got nothing back, I'm so dissapointed!

Well, I guess it just goes to show you that when you start trying to put facts into debates about evolution, creationists have a hard time responding...

What happen?

I read post.

Christians have been saying this for 2,000 years. It has lost its PR value.

And my threads for God's people.............
Of course, creationists always hate it when they are presented with data that contradicts what they believe in. The preacher always likes preaching to the choir, less dissention that way.

All people are God's people.

The destrution of the entire universe has already happened just not in this space time if you believe God is timeless.

Also since when has God placed you in a place of judgement the only man ever near that appointment has been Jesus.

your calculations are both flawed, and irrelevant. abiogenesis has nothing to do with evolution.

there is nothing to see here. move along, move along.

Oh yes it does, it is a prelude to, or a related study of evolution in every textbook discussion of evolution in creation. If your interested in knowing why this is so try the 'Evolution is a myth' thread in the formal debate forum. We can swim in the 'warm little pond' of abiogenesis there but bring your own oxegen, there is an atmosphere of pure ammonia coming out of the steamy saltwater womb of life in this mythic world.

Sorry Mark:

Evolution is "the change in alleles over time"... period. Evolution has nothing to do with abiogenesis, but it's not surprising you'd try to link them. When you can't argue effectively against scientific fact, attempt to link it to a less well developed concept and disparage that instead. What you've done is known as Fallacy of equivocation, or Straw Man.

Too bad this type of hovindism has been tried so often it's old news.

So you are going to disquise evolution with varieties within a species and the other semantics of evolution. Typical circular reasoning, alleles cross over becuse traits from both parants are mixed, this creates an almost infinite variety. People addicted to the crossbreading of Orcids could appreciate that but lets get back to the fantasy.

Evolution is not a hypothesis, it actually hyperbole, a gradised exageration based on superficial simularities. The fallacy being imployed by yourself is called begging the question, i.e. circular reasoning.

I tried your 'hovindism' in a search engine, the only references were in CF. Refuted here? Try invented! or maybe you would like to try defining your obtuse term before begging the question of proof.

That is not "disguising" evolution...that is what it IS. Sorry, but you're arguing against a strawman of your own devising.

Sorry, wrong. Evolution is an observed fact. Even creationist organisations like ICR and AIG admit this. The theory of evolution is just that - a scientific theory.

I didn't even try it in a search engine. It's obvious what it means - he's suggesting you're indulging in Hovind-like tactics.

Evolution is a myth since it relies on supposition and impossible transitional links. Sure evolution is theory, a sustantive rational induction from minimal evidence. Its based on naturalistic assumption, there is no reason to believe anything else. I dare say that I am through fighting vain imaginations of science falsely so called. One more stop in the open discussion area, I know a philosophical stonewall when I see it.

it relies on repeated experimental confirmation

Sure evolution is theory, a sustantive rational induction from minimal evidence.
the phylogenetic evidence is overwhelmingly in favour of evolution

Its based on naturalistic assumption, there is no reason to believe anything else.
its based on an extension of observations about genetics and the fossil record

I dare say that I am through fighting vain imaginations of science falsely so called.
it is most definitely a scientific theory

Please don't stop him. I don't think there's anyone else at this board who makes my laugh as often as Orange does.

And don't feel bad for him because English isn't his first language. Aspidel, a Belgian paleoartist I know, isn't any better at English than Orange but unlike Orange he doesn't use this language barrier as way of protecting his faulty logic.

He translated my anti-creationist poem into his native language Walloon so some of his Belgian friends could read it. Can you imagine Orange doing that?

Evolution is an observed fact, as admitted by creationist groups like ICR and AIG.

Evolution is a theory, which is an attempt to explain observed facts (that's what a scientific theory is, btw).

ALL science is based on naturalistic assumptions; that is its job.
