it requires a leap of faith in plugging all the holes of the theory.

what holes? it requires no faith, because evolution makes many specific falsifiable predictions, all of which have turned out to be correct:

that adds up to a whole lot of evidence, which is why more than 99.85% of biologists accept it. in 140 years of intense scientific scrutiny, no one has been able to falsify evolution. no faith required.

where did quantum mechanics come from? what is the cause of quantum mechanics.

quantum mechanics is a theory. one which has led us to developing technology like electron microscopes, and quantum computers (though the latter aren't terribly useful yet).

If there is any way you could have a lack of understanding more efficiently, I can't think of it. Quantum Mechanics is the study of sub atomic particles, so I guess its cause is the desire to learn.

actually, quantum mechanics applies to all scales, it's just that it neatly approximates newtonian mechanics above the atomic scale. since newtonian mechanics is about a billion times easier to use, QM is usually only applied on a microscopic scale.

you guys know what i meant. those subatomic particles and its properties, did they poof appear without cause?

QM predicts the spontanious formation of virtual particle pairs, which immediately cancel each other out and poof back into non-existence. however, during the inflationary period of the big bang, the particle pairs would be moved away from each other too rapidly to cancel each other, so you would get real particles.
