This forum is rich in information. All you have to do is ask. I sometimes feel like I should pay some of the participants here for the amount I have learned from them. Unfortunately the trolling sock puppets put out a higher volume of forum fecal matter as threads. If you are actually looking for earnest discussion or debate start a thread and you will be pleasantly surprised at the wealth of knowledge the participants have.

A troll is a person who posts statements or questions intended to start a brawl, where such statements and questions had been addressed many, many times before. It is evidence the person has not read the forum before posting to it. A troll will participate little in any thread he starts.

On this forum a troll is also known as a drive-by creationist.

And do you also apply this to, say, Holocaust denial? Moon hoax conspiracies? Flat Earthers?

Who are we to tell what really happened? We're the people observing the evidence of what really happened, that's who. Who better?

We are an intelligent species that is able to use logic and experiments. That is who we are, and this is what allows us to figure out what really happened. It is the same process that forensic science uses to figure out how a crime was committed, and by whom. If you watch CSI you will see the same methodology that scientists use to figure out things that happened in the past.

This is quite a bit different than the method used by creationists. They assume that Genesis is an accurate record and that it is meant to be taken literaly. They then throw out any evidence that contradicts their beliefs.

Hmm. I'd say they don't always fall into the same category though there is an overlap. If trolls went away after one post they they wouldn't be nearly as annoying!

Evidence for what? Creation? You could not have a creation with out a Creator. It could not have happened all by itself with out some sort of intelligence involved in the process somewhere. Even beyond that, you need a creative force, you can not have a creation, without a Creator.

But creation is already a somewhat loaded word.
You could say the universe and not have it require a creator.
You could also say 'a creative force' and not require it to be intellegent.

And you know quite well what is meant by this and you're playing semantics.
What is being requested is scientific (prefereably peer reviewed) evidence of YEC or OEC.

That said, in your defense John, I certainly wouldn't consider you a troll.
Just occasionally frustrating perhaps.
