As an atheist, I put a premium on empirical support. From science's perspective, Evolution had been the best thing thing for Biology. Evolution unfies previously fragmented ideas and observations coherently. It's explantory power is immense- things makes sense when explained with Evolution. The theory is rock-solid. It's supported by evidence by scientific diciplines across the board.jesusfreak3786 said:How do poeple feel about this. I think it is foundless myself.![]()
Heh, it's different environment for this type of a discussion. Less anti-creation predators prowling about. =Pseebs said:I believe this is the wrong forum.![]()

There are a myriad of other reasons, that's just one.OneManSows said:Let me add, that evolution requires an old earth. However, science tells us that the earth is young. Not enough space dust has been collected for the earth to be here as long as required for the old age earth evolution myths to be true. There are a myriad of other reasons, that's just one.

OneManSows said:Yes, I have heard of the weather, and I've also heard of the earth's crust. The amount of accumulated space dust on top of the crust of the earth prevents any old age earth myth from being true.
NopeForeRunner said:Yep, that is the point.
We have the same joint structure as animals that walk on four legs, and it is very ill-suited to walking on two legs.
Which leaves us with two main options...
either our ancestors walked on four legs and we adapted to walk on two, working with what we had, or...
Whomever designed us to walk on two legs with improper joints is completely incompetent. The question is now, are you calling God dumb?
kedaman said:Nope
May I ask you: are you not arguing from a teleological point of view, assuming that we, are meant to walk on two legs?
OneManSows said:I will allow that I'm not expert in this area, and don't have the resources at my fingertips to respond directly to your statement. That said, name one documented change of species. Just one. Show where any living creature changed from one type of creature to another (in real life, not on star trek), other than your mere speculation. Will you allow that the appearance of age creation theory answers every last one of your claims? If not, please state which claims it wouldn't answer, and why.
nope. Since you assumed that we are illsuited to walk on two legs, I wonder if you think we are meant to walk? Sort of if you were given a hammer, were you meant to use it as a knife.ForeRunner said:I don't quite follow, are you saying we were meant to walk on four appendages?
