"The sun stood still and the moon halted"
This is where you are going to draw a battle line?
13And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies.
Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
If saw this and wrote to my buddy "Hey, the sun stopped in the sky. You should'a seen it. The moon stopped too" You would run over me and say "well, technically, the sun doesn't move.... we rotate"
This passage was not meant to state that the earth was the center of the universe.
Genesis is written specifically to describe how the universe came to be.
For you. How do you explain the direct and specific scripture describing how God made Adam and Eve and personally breathed the breath of life into Adam to make him a living being.
When I read this I cannot help but believe it was inspired by the Holy Spirit and written this exact way for this exact argument.
