The fact is, you do not have even the most basic understanding of how to interpretate the Bible and your simply grasping at straws here. You are actually the one who violates the standard rules of Bible interpretation time and again. So once again, you have judged another person for what your guilty of.

No, I hold to the GAP theory because that is what the pastor at the church I attend holds to.

So you hold to a theory because someone else already holds that theory. If he changed his tune to theistic evolution for example, would you change your tune as well? Have you actually studied all the different options yourself? Why do you agree with your Pastor?

I wish I could get more information out of the pastor on this topic. He covered it maybe 20 years ago in the mysterys of God series, and he has not really gotten back to it sense then, to add a lot to what he teaches on it.

He is past the age of 80, so I do not think there is much of a chance that he is going to change at this point in time.

BTW, context is important when citing scripture. The 2 Thessalonians verses are talking about people rejecting the TRUTH OF SALVATION, and that they will continue in LAWLESSNESS AND UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, and will thererefore be condemned.

I do not go along with everything he teaches. I check it out against the Bible and if I see a problem, I talk it over with him.
