to be frank The Bible teaches that if you take part in Christianity’s indoctrination rituals they will transform you into a higher form of life who deserves eternal peace and joy. The message of eternal salvation contradicts the Bible’s teachings on original sin, because even after you’re saved you’re still a sinner until you die. This contradicting message will tear your minds in two directions creating cognitive dissonance and possibly a bipolar disorder and/or split personality. If nothing else it’s a recipe for deep rooted anxiety

False. We say that creationism is not science because it is contradicted by what we do observe.

Yet when it comes to their faith in a non-observable process, suddenly the non-observable becomes "science".

Mutation, genetic drift, speciation, positive selection, etc. are all observable.

I think that was the problem. When they actually opened one up and started reading and actually learned about the historicity of the book.

People who don't do this, are in better shape to believe.

The historicity of any book is not the contents of said book. It is the investigation into who wrote it, when it was written and how credible the words are from a historical standpoint.
