CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A better question in Lucaspa's case might be, "What are you not competent in doing?" The list of that would probably be substantially shorter than the answer to your question.
It's too bad you weren't here yet before he left. His ability to debunk creationism is matched only by that of Jet Black, who hasn't been around much lately either.

Well, it looks like Lucaspa might be disappearing again for a little while. Hopefully this time it'll be for less than two years, though. In the meantime, is there anyone else who you'd like to contribute?
If we make a forum or something there, I could probably get some of the people from Feathers and Claws to participate. (That's the anti-creationism community I ran in 2005 and 2006.)

I understand geology enough, I think, to take on their chapter. They don't say a damn finking thing about cosmology (despite the fact astronomy is the biggest challenge to the 6000 year fairytale). Most of their chapters are like "The Origins of _______... Yadayadayada... No transitional forms... No new information... Chimp genomes... Miller/Urey... PRATT PRATT PRATT PRATT!"

You might have noticed this already, but when I created the forum at Captainoccam.com a few days ago, I included a section of it devoted to Evolutionmafia.com. I figured that you, Lucapsa, and whoever else is thinking of contributing there might want a place other than CF to discuss your contributions. If you do, you're welcome to use it for that.

I'm also very good at philosophy of science. I hate to tell you, but you've screwed up Ockham's Razor. What you have isn't what Ockham stated.So the whole site and comics are based on a false base. Sorry.
