But then with me the horrid doubt always arises whether the convictions of man’s mind, which has been developed from the mind of the lower animals, are of any value or at all trustworthy. Would any one trust in the convictions of a monkey’s mind, if there are any convictions in such a mind?…”

The convictions of man's mind include that he evolved from apes. Now if man's thinking is untrustworthy, how can evolution be trusted as a theory? After all, it is the product of human thinking. Yet vast amounts of effort and money are poured into evolution research and it is promoted as indisputable fact. Surely God's word applies, here, written nearly 2,000 years before Darwin:
Romans 1:
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking and darkened in their foolish hearts. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools, 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images of mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
So Rom 1:21 would be consistent with evolution if we had minds that evolved from that of monkeys and could not be trusted to think straight.

I'm doing nothing but quote God's word. The important point is that rejecting God led to futile thinking and darkened hearts. When that was written, animal worship was common. Some societies still worship animals - Hindu and Buddhist, as well as the lunatic vegan fringe.

Evolution is the result of futile thinking. It is promoted by futile thought and embraced by darkened hearts.
Yes but only the Jews knew God back them and even then not very well, the others didn't know Him. Jesus came to reveal a lot more of God to us but it takes time for people to get the message and change etc.

I just read Mark 13:19.
Jesus said that the creation was created by God (Jesus is God. John 1:1-3)
Christians must believe this, because Jesus The Christ said it. Otherwise, they're not a Christian.

The theory of evolution is a lie
Yes, God created creation which included life, but that doesn't mean evolution couldn't have happened after that point.
Think about it, If you accept that God created everything then you accept that God create a cell that with time could develop into a much larger organism (ie when life is conceived).
Is it that much of a stretch that a God that can effectively create such a self assembling organism as animals are couldn't also create a process by which those self same self assembling organisms can develop into other species with time, much more time?

God could always intervene to direct evolution if He wanted a particular result (ie us)

Either way you look at it, standard creationism or evolution (at least God initiated), you still need to make a leap of faith at some point to explain the modern world.
And as has been stated your 'creation' belief has nothing to do with your salvation, as long as you believe God exists of course.

Evolution, simply stated, is not that easily dismissed. So, parents have many more offspring than required to replace them. Those that survive their environment to breed in their turn are those most fit to so survive. Over millions of years the fittest will prevail. If that means growing eyes, eyes will happen. It's a ratchet effect.

Best wishes, Strivax
