  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Knew little about her, other than the poor people of her country loved her.

Reading an article about her life, I would say that she made the best use of her intelligence and her heart in a time and place that were very oppressive for women.

After reading about her early life and struggles against all odds, she seems
deserving of admiration.

What compelled me as i read about her life, and reading the list of charitable issues that occurred at her hands...
IS that if the poor [2 million strong] loved her.... and her critics were few, I am under the belief that she was fairly admirable.

I feel her critics were probably jealous of her rise to success with very little education, and her charisma.
Not to mention her fashion sense captivated them, much like Princess Di.

And as with all tragic ends, dying young leaves a longer legacy especially if you were a champion for the poor.

I found she was truly fascinating... but i found it deeply disturbing that anyone would steal her corpse for 19 years.

I mean...what can anyone do with a dead body for that length of time?
Sick.

I first heard about her through the musical Evita (WAY before they made it into a movie). I did some research on her... even did a paper on her in college, I think. But I don't remember details now. Just a vague memory that she did a lot of good for the poor people, angered the military and upper-class groups, and there were financial scandals surrounding her husband's regime and her many, many programs.
