Seems a bit arrogant to me you assume you know more than me and are qualified to be my teacher after I said Jesus is, do you seek to put your self in front of Jesus?

Go back and read the threads. I haven't derailed any of them you have. You take my comments personally and then proceed to make an issue of it. I have contributed to this thread and topic but it seems you don't like what I had to say.

BTW it is only arrogance that I think that I know more than you if it isn't true. Reading your posts obviously I do.

I believe Jesus said if they will not receive you and your message shake the dust from your feet as a testimony against them. Jesus does not say hang around and be abused but flee to the next town.

and Jesus said don't think I have come to bring peace but a sword. Mother against daughter father against son. A mans enemies will be memebers of His own House. I guess Jesus did not see the honor your mother and father the same way you do. God comes first.

Any more accusations you would like to make? And angels are not so bold as men For when Michael rebuke satan he did not accuse him but said Jesus rebuke you. And when Jesus was tempted He did not accuse satan, but recited the commandment he was trying to get Him to Break. No one is so bold as man.

Lets look at the passage.

Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

The context, which you usually fail to give, is the Lord Jesus speaking against the Pharisees and scribes. The verses that follow are full of woe to them for their hypocrisy. Now in that context we must interpret and understand the passage you throw out without regard to its context or what the Lord was teaching in it. You simply can't use the Scriptures as arrows taken out of context to shoot at others.

What the Lord Jesus was teaching and saying is that we ought not be like the scribes and Pharisees who sought the titles of teacher and father and master.

I said I am your teacher but I have never asked you to call me that. Nor have I sought that title from you or anyone else. I have been placed in that position by God not by men.
