Evil Dead and Army of Darkness...

Does anyone know if another sequel is in the works? Hopefully our hero Ash will have more crazy adventures than a few cameos in Spiderman.

As long as Sam is set to do Syderman, there will not be a sequal in the Evil Dead series.

But if they do make it, it will be in the furue where Ash Slept too long and did not recite the spell right and the evil has taken over most of the world.

It is unlikely. Bruce Campbell is getting a bit old. It would be nice tho. I met him in Ohio a couple of years ago and he said that the money to make another Evil Dead just wasn't there.

HA! Correct me if I'm wrong, but the reason that Evil Dead was laughed out of movie theaters, encouraging the creation of Army of Darkness, is because Evil Dead 1&2 were laughably bad as horror films.

I actually prefer Evil Dead II over the first one.

But I remember watching Army Of Darkness at the theaters and thinking how great it was for mention the town I live in when threatening the people.

lol! Those movies are a riot! I love how the first 2 are all scarry horror, but the third one is comedy. Third one is the best, then the first one, i didnt care for the second one, because it messed the first movie up. Anyways a sequel would be great!

The first one was definitly scarey for its time.
I don't know about being "laughed out of the theaters", where did you hear that.
I remember reading on the box "Horror movie of the year" by Steven King, or something like that.

The second one was definitly funny with that whole hand bit, and animals laughing. It was a dark comedy.

Me and a friend watched the first one with two chicks, and one of them screamed her head off for us to turn the thing off, every time the camera would roll through the woods making that wierd "grrrrrrr" sound.

In Evil Dead II, they had to use multi-colored blood to get around the censors. THat is why they added the comedy.
