((Well, I hate to say this, but Scott and Sierra's little, ahem, date, may need to be canceled due to, umm, a war. No need to worry right now though...))
((Oh, and good post Kelli. Sorry about your grandpa.))
The commander's concentration was completely taken away from him as he almost ran into a fine lady with a horse. After getting back up from the fall he had and brushing himself off, the commander turned to look who he had almost run over. He was not a highly educated man, but he soon realized that the lady was definitely not a barbarian woman. The fineness gave that away.
Brushing himself off more, trying to hide his slightly blushing face, the commander tried his best to sound brave and courageous, "Ma'am, I'm afraid you won't want to come any further. The Barbarians are on the move, and if they caught the sight of you, ma'am, they wouldn't be able to control their...uh...desi-i-...it's real dangerous for such a beautiful lady as yourself to be out here right now. I'd tell you to get back to the safety of Yitai, but I'm not certain how safe it will be by nightfall."

Zhash didn't know how to respond to Atlas' sudden change in personality. He was simply not the same man anymore. the voice of command that was delivered by this new man was enough to make a man jump off a cliff while singing the fourth verse of "Joy to the World." Zhash could say nothing, but "Yes. Bring it on."
Zhash, although not a commander, had his fair share of experience in commanding people, though not in battle. He wasn't exactly sure if he was supposed to or not, but he knew he would not serve the best. Instead he opted to find one of his old friends, who was a commander in the Yitain army. His name was Apitai, and his elven ancestory was extremely apparent in both his appearence and performance. He always carried a long, golden-handled, two handed, spinning spear. ((see what the elves use in The Last Alliance against Sauron's forces in the movie. I love those weapons.)) After Zhash briefed him, he called upon his force two hundred elite archers, half of what was left in the city. The other 2,000 were on the battlefield already.
Zhash led Apitai and the force to Atlas' side, where he awaited further commands.
