Everlasting Father
Isaiah 9:6... ... And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
The coming Messiah is referred to among other names as the "Everlasting Father". The word everlasting shows that Jesus would be much more than a leader of men. He was here long before anything else and will rule for all eternity. He alone can bring us everlasting life. He is worthy of our praise!
John 3:16... For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Philippians 2:9-11... Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Psalm 72:19... Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen.
Psalm 113:2... Let the name of the LORD be praised, both now and forevermore.
