event handlers help

okay, i'm kinda confused when it comes to

return true and return false.  how do you know which one you should use...and if you should use it at all?  i'm using text fields and

onKeyDown and onChange

any knowers out there?

I'm not sure which language/SDK you are talking about, but in general you return 'true' when the event was actually handled so that other handlers down the chain don't attempt to act on the event.
