  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Just saw it tonight...

...and I loved it  Warm, funny, blatantly Christian (hence the terrible reviews in the press :p ). There were so many in-jokes that you'd only really get if you know God.

Every reason I've seen on here for not seeing it appears flawed to me, and based on inaccurate presumptions. A great family film which portrays much more of God's character than Bruce Almighty.

Sorry to disappoint.... the terrible reviews are because it's a bad film.

Nothing to disappoint - bad is in the eye of the beholder, and since I thoroughly enjoyed the film, how could I possibly be disappointed?

I had the same fears about it being a present-day worldwide flood myself, but they were unfounded and unnecessary.

I enjoyed it more thoroughly than its predecessor's somewhat raunchy sense of humor and watered-down Christian elements. This one was kooshy, safe, and pretty blatant about what it wanted to say (though the filmmaker's aren't particularly aimed at witnessing, in all honesty). The only real blasphemy in the films is the fact that God has another tangible human form other than Christ - but c'mon. It's Morgan Freeman. He's the shiz.

I finally saw it and thought it was a cute movie. Like dvd said - not without flaws, but it had some very good lines in it. And I liked the way they presented "God" - especially when he said "I have lots of people to serve." How kul was that?
