Euthanasia and Suicide

i'm in a hurry so i'll say this quickly and explain later:

i believe it is a sin and God sees it as one.

however, it will not keep you out of heaven!!! the only way to the Father is through Christ (according to christ)

Sometimes it amuses me....doesn't the world accuse us Christians of being obsessed with sin? Looks like others are , too....!! anyway.

We're only going to tie ourselves in knots if we try to define, "this is sin' or 'that isn't sin". Fact is, we are not going to be judged by God becasue we do sin. We are going to be judged becasuse we ARE sinners. The sin principle is deep within us. From our earliest consciousness, we would remember self-will and rebelliousness. We make a mess of our lives, and other people's. We mix selfishness in the best, the purest of our actions and thoughts. We fall short of the goodness of God. We don't do the good things we should do...that also, is part of the sin nature! Its not just this or that sinful act that we do.

Thats a better way than trying to define "is suicide sin"? Those who commit suicide are sinners, and those who don't commit suicide are also sinners. No one is more a sinner than anyone else!

Those who commit suicde are in a way, less responsible for what they are doing, becasue they are not quite mentally balanced, and getting after them with a stick (when what they need is an anti-depressant) makes no sense. But they're still sinners!! ..and so are the rest of us!! And God's love is freely available to them...as it is to us.

What i said i believe as a Christian. Suicide is a sin. God will judge each and every case of suicide. His will shall be done.

Does the Christian god consider suicide a sin? What about euthanasia? Is euthanasia considered a sin? If not, why oppose people’s free will to die with dignity?

No one in their right mind commits suicide.

Why not? If you are unsaved, you have a different logic. Rational suicide takes on a different side if you are not a religious person.. EXAMPLE the terminally ill-have been known to decide in advance that they do not wish to endure the last of pain and suffering nor put their loved ones thru the painful process.

Not the decision of a rational mind. It has been twisted by pain and suffering. They are making it so the loved ones can start mourning sooner. Also not the decision of a rational mind.
