CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We didn't plan on it being my focus. We noticed the rooms had DVD players from the 2 times I was there for early labor and Ron decided to make copies of our DVDs(I was worried they'd get stolen at 100$ a season) so that if we were there all night we wouldn't have to watch strong man competitons again.
Well this time, we used it to keep me from letting the pain go to my head, I focused on the story line and the words like my life depended on it. Even more so when I couldn't see the TV.
Oh! You are so right! I will have to E-mail the makers of Trekkies and tell them. Maybe they'll get a kick out of it!

That is one of the most encourageing and exciting birth stories I've read in such a long time. I also don't want drugs, and want a natural birth. It's so rare to hear someone in such pain with a stuck baby to want to work through in instead of the c/s. I have another friend who also had a stuck baby and pushed for 3 hours for it... I pray for that kind of stregnth.

Find a focus. Honestly, it took everything in me some contractions to keep focused on the story line of the Trek episode. I lost it a few times but Ron kept drawing me back keeping me there. Best thing ever and if I have another child, the Trek DVDs are the first thing I'm packing for the hospital.
