  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Does God go for an eternity in the past as well as the future?

Eternity< Past<----God---->Future>Eternity. ???

MY COMMENTS: To me, the concept of "eternity" is beyond my imagination.

By reasoning, since God created the heavens and the earth (the universe), He existed before all was created.

And since God has revealed himself to mankind as the "ever living one", it follows that He will go as far in the future as we can imagine.

Those are my thoughts.

All beings are eternal into the future in my mind. Only God is eternal into the past.

But as one things about eternity it becomes aparent that time is tied to time/distance and time/distance comes about when God creates the world. So eternity isn't forever in the past and forever into the future. Eternity has to be outside of time/disrtance just like God is. So we are locked into the time demension but when we go into the spirit world that God exists in we exit time into another mode of existing that is eternity.

I know this short comment might be hard to understand .. but its a real neat blessing if you can search it out and understand it.
