Not really, at least not for a lot of us, I don't view the world (read: universe) as created in 7, 24-hour days. Personally I think it's a rather interesting discovery to say the least, I am fascinated by Astronomy.

can someone post up what this is about.

It's a new theory regarding very, very distant galaxies (11 billion light years out apparently). Originally thought to be infant galaxies, they are now thought to be "adolescent" galaxies partway through their stages of formation.

Whose to say that this debunks creation. I don't know of any Christian with any common sense who says that things can't be created in another galaxy or how God might go about doing it. God gave us as much information as we need about our creation. So, if thats the explanation He wants to give me I'll except it. You can go on living, questioning God, taking him out of your lives living for your own lusts and desires, puffed up with pride saying "no, this is the way it happened." And you will reap what you sow. I will continue to have faith in Gods way, except what he has so lovingly given me and be eternally grateful and eternally rewarded. If you're not a true Christian you wouldn't understand where I'm coming from, and I pray that one day your eyes will be opened. Peace and love!:prayer:

I still don't know exactly what to think of it.
I bet the atheists are having a field day over this.

Why should they?

To me, understanding our universe, tells us of a more awesome God than the book of Genesis does.

Where in the world did this even come from? Hiscosmicgoldfish asked what the article is about, and I summarized what the article is about.

That being said, I find Young Earth Creationism to be at disagreement with what the plain evidence in God's creation tells us.

Only a very small minority of Christians are young-earth creationists. Most of us are not troubled by the findings of science, but instead view them as wondrous and fascinating windows into the complexity of God's universe.

I don't trust anything coming from science these days

were we ever taught about the 10th planet in our solar system growing up? or how about the fact that there is overwhelming evidence that giant humans existed?

or that man has created artificial lightning and there is a way of giving free power to every human being on the planet which was suppressed by JP Morgan?

I was simply sayin that whether the earth was created in 7 days, 7000 yrs or 70 million years doesn't really matter. The purpose of the story is to show us that everything, including humans, was created for the Glory of God. The need to be right about the amount of time it took God to create the earth is purely driven by pride and the lust of human satifaction which is the lesson of the next story of the bible. Eve and the serpent. In sitting around bickering about how long those days actually were we are missing the whole point of the story of how we came to be and why we are in the state we are in. True Christians get this. Thus the answer to the OP question IMHO is no, the fact that there are other galaxies in which God is creating will not be bad for the true religious community. We are a people who have ultimate faith in our creator and who wish to always walk in his way not out of our own lusts and pride. Sorry if I wasn't clear the first time. Peace and Love!:)
