Error message- during search

I keep getting a error that says:
Warning in_array() function.in.array): wrong datatype for second argument in [path]/includes/sphinx.php on line 142
I get this most times i search for somthing via the search in the menu bar.

I am running windows xp sp2- updates all installed, IE7 all updates
The country is Australia
I have a screenshot if it is needed.

Not fixed. I still get the message every time I search.

does it happen on every search you do, or just a couple? If it's only on a couple can you post what search terms you use? if it's every search, I don't know what to tell you.

Every search.

The search still comes out OK, it's just that whilst it's performing the search that the error message comes up.

Ok I just did a search (I had never done one before) and got what you are describing. It's just some issue with some of the code for the search. Mostly just an annoyance because the search seems to actually be working OK itself.

Actually the search function itself is faulty as well.

For instance. I started a thread sometime ago about tithing and the word tithing was in the subject title. However if you search for posts by author: Crankitup with "tithing" anywhere in the posts or title, none of my posts from that thread appear. The only way to find that thread again is to click onto my user profile page and select the statistics tab and then click on "Find all threads started by Crankitup" where the thread in question appears as number 3 on the list.
