This last part....yah, I do have a Lucifer=Bad hang up. It's been established as another name of Satan, in the world anyway.
wrongly.
It would give people the excuse to say Christianity is nothing more than a Satanic cult. Believe me when I say that people WILL stoop that low.
So? They wouldn't be right, so why care?

Besides, you don't seem to have any conclusive evidence, anyway.
Conclusive evidence of what? I'm really not sure you know what I'm trying to argue.

And "Bright Morning Star" and "light-bearer" aren't really the same thing. ;)

Then Isaiah 14 was not calling anyone Lucifer.

You are missing the point. He gave us free will to choose either separation from him or to be with him eternally. That way those who WANT to be with him can. And of course I believe in Hell. Without it, what would be the point of Christ dying for our sins? The whole point was to spare us from that fate, and so that we wouldn't be separated from him anymore.
And you must also remember, that if God spares punishment, then what would be the point in Christ dying for our sins? (yes, I said that in the last paragraph). God is merciful, but he is also just. After all, Jesus' second coming in Revelation will be as a Judge. If you die without having accepted Christ, then you have basically chosen to be separated from God. There is no "neutral" or "lukewarm" ground.

Ok, thanks for that.

Erm, again, can I ask - when you say humans have freewill - do you mean to say that ONLY humans have freewill?

And, my point is - if you do, then your comment about "without it, we'd be like robots", then I say:
Take a look at the animals and plants and the world out there.
Apparently, they don't have freewill - yet my dog isn't exactly robotic, infact, he's quite the individual; with his own make-up, fur-type, mannerisms and humourous reaction to cats.

Also, animals don't appear to need to be saved.
So again, I ask - why does not necessarily having freewill make you 'robotic'?
And what kind of freedom is "worship God or burn for eternity?"
If God's given man freewill, surely he has to accept the consequences.

So? They wouldn't be right, so why care?

Because, people are stupid. They will believe anything either because they want to, or because they fear it may be true. Granted, there are exceptions to this rule (like believing something that is ACTUALLY true), but most people don't care. So I have to care for them. Besides, it's like making fun of me for wearing glasses, or being too short, or some other third thing. It's part of me. To insult my beliefs is to insult me. So I would think I would CARE... whether or not they are right or wrong, someone is going to believe them, because of said rule. Oh, and I'm calling it a rule just for simplicity's sake, no real need to argue. I've seen it come true over and over though.
Point in fact is, I SHOULD CARE.

How are animals related to this? Try and explain the relevance to me. And don't be putting words into my mouth. It's bad enough I'm still arguing about this. Hrm... maybe I should let the thread die....
Nah. :p it's fun to mess with you. (just kidding! :D )
