• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

They compete against each other for jobs, for example, all the time.

Back in the day men did men things, women did women things. It was peaceful and orderly.

1. Your discomfort with change is noted.
2. Your apparent discomfort with progress is noted.
3. Your bizarre misinterpretation of the source of competition is noted.
4. Your deliberate(?) disregard of the equally/more important role of cooperation in male-female interaction is noted with a mix of disappointment and cynicism.

Feel free to provide evidence to support your views on the origin of male/female competition.

Doesn’t mean it is right, also if you are trying to give advantages to women is not really competition

I'm not sure that's true. Male/female relationships have always had elements of jealousy, suspicion, anger, combativeness, struggles for dominance, bitterness, and emotional and physical abuse. But it was kept under wraps.

What does that mean in practice, please?

1, Two halfsouls come into the world,
find eachother and become one.

2, To complete eachother,
Example,
Abraham and Sarah were as different as + and -
on a battery,
but together they were complete.

We were created to cooperate, not compete.
The evidence that we were created is disputed.
The evidence that we evolved to both compete and cooperate is substantial.

You offer an unsupported statement as evidence? I suggest you take some time to review the definition and nature of evidence. Having done so, would you like to make a serious attempt at providing evidence to support your otherwise empty assertions.

Right. When the workplace were gender segregated, all the men got along great with no jealousy, suspicion, anger, combativeness, struggles for dominance, & bitterness at all!

'In practice' means in the real world.
What makes you think that souls and half souls exist in the real world?

I guess you had to be there. Division of labor between genders was just 'the way it was'. No one fought about it. Of course that began to change in the 1960's.

Are you a robot?

The soul is the self, the "I" that inhabits the body and acts through it.

Without the soul, the body is like a light bulb without
electricity.

The human soul our sages have said:
"She is called by five names:
Nefesh/soul.
Ruach/spirit.
Neshamah/breath.
Chayah/life.
Yechidah/singularity.

It should be a basic.

OK. There's no argument that men, on average, have greater body strength than women. But in the 21st century, jobs requiring physical strength are an ever-shrinking part of the economy.

And anyway, those are the jobs that immigrants do.

Your lack of credentials in this area has been long established and, I recall, acknowledged by your good self.

I have spiritual credentials. :holy:

The suffragettes fought about it well before the 60s!

Suffragette - Wikipedia

It was women's labor during WW2 that heralded the biggest changes in the workplace going forward. Note that the suffrage concerned voting rights, not the right to do men's work.

Most of the differences are mental.
