From what I understand, gender reassignment is a not a standard procedure most plastic surgeons would be trained in. If you know how to do it, it's because you trained on how to do it.

Maybe not for that part, but later on. A man could want breast implants, for example.

Yeah, so? Again, doctors are not forced to perform elective procedures. You didn't know that?

Considering those are specialized procedures you have to be trained to do, that's not a problem that actually exists.
The actual issue seems to be the freedom to refuse to treat a child because their parents are the wrong gender : https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-parents-and-theres-nothing-illegal-about-it/

I wonder why we're supposed to ignore this reality and instead pretend that the made up stories of doctors being forced to do procedures they never signed up for is a more pressing concern?

Because children suffer in that reality, and we're expected to believe the fantasy that the people who support this sort of thing care about children.

I'm not sure that's exactly the right term for made up stories about doctors being forced to provide abortions or clergy to marry gay people against their will.

Maybe not for the goal-post move you just made, but it is for your original statement.

I strongly doubt you could quote me having written what you're claiming here.

Allow me to try:
I'm not sure that's exactly the right term for made up stories about doctors being forced to provide abortions or clergy to marry gay people against their will.

My response is as it was in post #428.

Me : "I'm not sure that's exactly the right term for made up stories about doctors being forced to provide abortions or clergy to marry gay people against their will."

Uh, that's not moving the goalposts, that's directly addressing what you wrote here :

No doctor should have to perform an abortion or make a man look more like a woman or the other way around.

So, what was your point again?
