Free CofE nary doubted the validity of Anglican orders.
That's right of course. I was speaking of the situation as amounting to mutual recognition of orders, which would be correct even if one side never had declined to recognize the other's orders.
Anyway, since the FCE still exists as a separate ecclesiastical body, we shouldn't say that it has been "reabsorbed," should we?
There are, by the way, something like eight Continuing Anglican church bodies in England now. The FCE is usually counted among them, as you said, although it is not a Continuing church, strictly speaking.
