Most Continuing bishops allow -and often encourage- private Masses. The usual justification is that anytime a Mass is said it is done in the presence of "angels and archangels and all the company of Heaven."

Why is communing being frowned on? I would have thought it more objectionable to go through the rite without anyone receiving (that would raise questions about how we "duly use" the sacraments).

I suppose he encourages Morning Prayer.
