1. Learn everything of EVERYTHING about OCD.
2. Face your fear, embrace it. Let disturbing thoughts be brought up. Touch a dirty toilet, whatever your fear is, DO IT.
3. Learn to trust God, and ONLY God. This way, the enemy cannot defeat you in anyway through Faith and Grace.
4. God does not punish, point fingers, judges, and is all knowledgeable and understands what OCD is.
5. Stop listening to "bad" music(heavy metal, heavy rock, rap, etc.), stop watching so much dirt or violence on TV or computer(try this for a week and then see how you feel emotionally afterwards).
6. Stop eating unhealthy foods, such as junk food, fast food, food that has exaggerated milk or cheese content. Eat healthier, it does not matter if it has fat or is meat, as long as its not chemical induced or chocked full of colors and fried crap.
7. Drink fish oil(Omega 3s), Magnasium and Calcium.
8. Stop hanging out inside your house, GET OUT. When you are alone, the enemy has an easier chance to just screw with you. Ideas will come and go, notice ever when you're outside your OCD is a bit more off than on?
9. Do what you love to do. Whatever your hobby is, whatever it is, do it. No excuses of OCD ripping you from this. See #1 and #2 again if this is the case.
10. Pray and meditate(worship) God, and if you don't know how then find out easily at Church or any other sources.
11. Positive mindset over negative routine. Practice being more positive, seeing a fresh breath of air everyday, it will be hard to start being more positive but you will adjust and see a new day as what is it.
This list won't cure you from OCD, but its what I've been doing for the last year and what I've discovered will help you to a point where you ask "wait, I had OCD?". Now I still have OCD obviously, and my mind brings up excuses to not practice what I've listed above. But, I remember when I do these things strictly and calmly, it takes me to another level where God wants me to be. Am I in a hole right now? No, I am more in a position where I am standing behind a closed wooden door, and all I have to do is try and knock on that door and God let me go through His door to a better place, but there will always be a door waiting after you go through that wooden door, you see? The next door I will have to knock on will probably be made of steel, and the next of bronze, and the next of silver, and the next of gold, and the next of diamonds, the next of even more better things in life! So, knock go ahead and knock on that door because God has great things in store for you.
