I agree and yet because the issue has been presented in the way that it has to our children, to carelessly dismiss the issue is to identify with the common enemy.
The OP asks: "What do you think would happen if your country was being invaded and there was a call to arms for all young people 18 to 35 years. Do you think most people would readily enlist or would there be widespread protest and conscientious objectors."
In the eyes of our children (because of the PR around environmentalism) the "invasion" has been ongoing since the beginning of the industrial revolution, there is a call to arms and very few, if any of them of them are protesting about it, and almost all of them are willing to enlist in efforts to save the environment. That this is likely to be part of a cynical ploy from the Globalists is regarded as irrelevant and it will be seen as to what measures are regarded as legitimate in fighting the "good" fight.

I don't think anyone is dismissing the issue. It just makes it harder to deal with when people demand unreal changes that destroy peoples lives when it does not affect them. For many the environmental issue is all about virtue signalling, associating with a cause they can position themselves with and telling others how wrong they are. Yet they are happy enough to keep using their cars, all their tech devices like laptops and IPhones and are using electricity just as much as anyone else. I think this shows how out of touch they are and this is the same view that causes people to disassociate with issues like defending ourselves as they think others should do it or it does not concern them and its all the governments fault.

If you miss this then you miss what is going on in the world. The people behind the Climate change PR are using exactly the same desire that is used to raise people up for war to suit their agenda. The young, even younger than 18 years old are being raised up not to defend the good ole US of A but the whole world.

While I agree with you, they are heavily affected by the PR. Our whole civilization is openly driven by it.
