Enjoy being Single?

Trust in many ways seems to be like walking a tightrope. It's scary and very easy think you'll fall - that the person you are trusting will shake the tightrope and that will be that.

However trust isn't really like that. It's more of a bank account. You pay in a bit at a time. You see that the bank doesn't run off with your money so you pay in a bit more and a bit more. It's only if the bank runs off that you stop.

People are exactly the same. You trust someone with a fragment. You start to give bigger and bigger bits. Eventually you realise - you trust them.
This is an on-going process with every person you meet.

I have had trust issues in the past and I found this might help. Especially when trying to build trust going into a new relationship.

Sometimes, you also take a leap of faith. I trust you. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

My last post on this thread was if I marry Elizabeth8393. I love women who are elegant and Elizabeth 8393 is very elegant and beautiful.

Unfortunately my fortune is not yet in hand so I could not treat her as well as she is destined for but if I ever become a billionaire I would give it all to her so she could do as she pleases.

I have a passion for two kinds of women.

I love elegant women and I love wild women.

When I was younger the wild women took precedents,

How that I am old and wiser I feel elegant women are more desirable.

But regardless I have a soft spot for both.

Amen to that! I'm learning how to just be at peace with where I'm at, it's not always easy, but it's very rewarding when that moment comes when I have no anxieties.

We finished our bachelor's at the same time. I got a degree in education and had no desire to go to grad school.

Exactly! I don't necessarily like being single, I so desire to have that soulmate, but in this stage of my life I've come to accept it, there's too much going on, and next to no in person prospects, anyway, lol.

I'm fine with it.... when/if it happens, it will happen, and it'll probably happen at the right time. It's unbelievably freeing not to feel as if I have to worry about it.

And thankfully none of my friends or family are pressuring me about it.
