Here's my character ready now, thanks. I chose the Kakapo.

The ancient, flightless kakapo is the world's rarest and strangest parrot. It's the only flightless and nocturnal parrot, as well as being the heaviest in the world, weighing up to 3.5 kilograms (8 lbs). The kakapo (night parrot) is one of New Zealand’s unique ‘treasures’ and with only 86 known surviving birds it is listed internationally as a critically endangered species.

They are so precious! It is very sad when animals get to the point of extinction or near extinction!

NZ has a Kakapo Recovery Programme which has been working for many years to protect the remaining kakapo and encourage breeding, Ruth. Here's a link.....

This is a dress up game to look like an animal who is an endangered species (wear the colors of the animal or bird) and tell us the name of the animal or bird or aquatic, too. You can write about the bird, animal or aquatic but you don't have to. Judging will be on how well you match the colors of the species.

You need to get a picture of one off the web. You can do a search on "endangered species."

For your entry post a picture of the animal and dress according to it's colors and add whatever you want to the rest of the pic.
