Bottomless pit is not the earth because the earth has a bottom. Satan will chained where his estate is after being kicked of Heaven before this earth was made. It is where his seat, power and authority is that he gives to the beast. He has no seat power or authority on this earth only a prince of the air not the entire earth. This earth and everything on it belong to Elohim.
I will continue to check it out but provide correct truth if permitted.

Trying to understand what kind of chain or what kind of bottomless pit can hold an angelic being. I'm thinking they are symbolic for something else.

Most of the language in Revelation is metaphorical... dear sister seems to interpret things as all literal. Spiritual things cannot be intellectually discerned...
Stinsonmarri, I am still baffled at how you can say you are Adventist, meaning that you believe what Adventists believe, and then you proceed to talk contrary to basic Adventist doctrine on what will happen to Satan and his angels after Jesus comes to redeem His saints. Besides yourself, is there anyone else that you know in the Adventist faith that sees these prophecy's as you do?

The Holy Spirit gives us all understanding... there have been many that have come before us that have been led to these understandings that are now a part of our doctrine. That doesn't mean that there cannot be discovered deeper and still deeper applications and understandings to these already established truths...

If there weren't so many poeple coming out of your denomination claiming to be one of the two witnesses, and making claims about this and that, that never pan out......It really make one wonder what will be the next crazy notion.......Its my understanding that Christ rules for a thousand years, if everyone is killed who will he rule?

The Bible says that all who are left behind when Jesus comes as a thief will be destroyed and will not come to life again until the end of the thousand years.
The Bible also says that we too will reign with Christ during those thousand years. Now keep in mind that there are still demons and Satan that are under lock and key there is still a judgement to be looked at. There are things that are hard to understand completely but the Bible does say this. We also have to take into account what the word, reign, means.

Can you please clarify who in our denomination has claimed to be one of the two witnesses??
Do you even know anything about Adventism? I ask, because if you did, you would know that we believe the two witnesses to be the Old and New Testaments... don't really see how someone could claim to be either of those.

I agree with ECR, but I would like to make one point though ( Welll, actually Jesus madeit himself) concerning Stinsonmarri's statement of ".....he has no seat of power or authority on this earth." regarding satan.
Jn.18:36 "My (Jesus) Kingdom is not of this world, if my Kingdom were of this world, my servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews, but now my Kingdom is not from here."
Jn. 16:11 "of judgement, because the ruler (prince) of this world is judged."
Mt.4;9 "and he (the devil) said to Him (Jesus), "all these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me."
I believe that was the controversy through Christ's ordeal, as to who would Reign over earth, guess who lost!

Satan couldn't offer Jesus all the kingdoms of this world if he didn't have the authority to do so.
