emptiness

i dont know why, but there are times when my faith is shining and there are times when my faith feels completely empty. tonight is an example of the emptyness. when i pray and read the word things usually get better and i feel rejuvinated but it's still incredibly troubling. where does my faith go? why do is disapear? i feel like jeckyl and hyde. please pray for me.

Hey man, i know how you feel. One day there is nothing that you can think about except how great God is and stuff like that and then the next, you can't get into it. I don't think that it is about losing your faith though. I believe that you still believe in God the same amount, it's just that we all lose sight of it a bit.

Heavenly Father, i pray for brightlights. Lord, please help him to keep his focus on you, to keep up a burning faith for you. Lord, please give him your strength, wisdom and courage to do the things that you want him to do. Amen

Hi!
I think we all feel a lot like this, that's partly because we're human beings with emotions. Your faith doesn't go anywhere, your feelings alter. There are times I'm really annoyed with members of my family, that doesn't mean I love them any less (or vice versa..) If you want to see how other people felt, read the Psalms, there are many examples there of this, I often use them to help me pray when I'm feeling empty or low..

Heavenly Father, i pray for brightlights. Lord, please help him to keep his focus on you, to keep up a burning faith for you. Lord, please give him your strength, wisdom and courage to do the things that you want him to do. Amen
