CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Can't say I'd face the same problem in that situation, or that I accept the moral dichotomy you imply:
1. harmless christians
2. evil heavy metal rockers
but to answer your question I'd hope for the concert fans. We might be able to reminisce about great bands like Queen, or a time when choices in music didn't motivate prejudice.

you see, athiests are not honest with others or themselves. this is "keyboard courage" they are using here...in the real world they would hope that it was a group from a Christian youth outing and not a group coming from a bar or drug filled rave club, or from a rowdy rock concert where people had been drinking heavily and using drugs.

and I assume that you have never been taught by the socratic method, I have. And I used to use the socratic method to teach, certain things. and use a slang called "tweaking the hypo" etc, when the teacher does this.

I've got to say though, I've passed by many strangers late at night and I can't remeber ever once thinking "Oh boy, I hope those guys are returning from a Christian Youth Group! Wait a minute, they're singing Twisted Sister lyrics - RUN!"
It's not like a band of Chrisitan males have never been known to bring harm to others. Also, it's not like I hear about head-bangers going on a drug-induced killing spree after a concert either.
(I've got to say though, someone coming from a rave club certainly doesn't sound too dangerous to me - oh no, they're high on ectasy? They might actually have peacefully fond feelings for me, that's bad - why oh why couldn't they be Christians instead!)
Sorry exodus, I don't live in your black and white world. When I pass by a stranger at night I simply say, "Hey, what's up?" and continue walking.

I'd much rather meet the Christian youth group. They'll probably offer me apple pies, fuzzy bunnies, cute puppies, a kind word, etc.
The metalheads would just spout darwinistic propaganda while throwing beer bottles at us. They'd probably have leather jackets with pentagrams, and I hear that they've all been implanted with special chips that are the harbinger of the apocalypse. Since they don't believe in god, the metalheads are nihilists, so there's a very good chance that they'd cut us to ribbons. Did I mention that they're also liberals?
