Emergency Prayer!!

This request is from my friend. she's been caring for the baby of one of the ex-drug addict women that she ministers to. They agreed that she would keep the baby girl for two weeks while the mom finds a home that is not a crack-house nor infested with bugs, but now the mom is sort of freaking out and making accusations that my friend has stolen her children. She's worried that children's services will see her home and take her kids away, but the home is so horrible that it's unfit for children to live in.

Please pray for everybody involved. My friend is really concerned that the children might be going back to the same drug-filled, roach-infested apartment.

Please pray for God's Will in the outcome of this situation for everyone involved with Kailynn and her two brothers. The mother has started behaving hostilely toward me and blaming me for her 5 year old not being in school. I'm sure she wants somebody to blame in order to explain away her behavior to Children's Services. She thinks she's pregnant again and planning to have an abortion if she is. LONG story short -- I gave her three options yesterday, two of which included keeping one or two of her children for a year as long as children's services was involved. The third option was that she take all three of them back not later than this Friday, 1 Nov. as originally agreed upon. She called me last nite apparently after reading it wanting them back today. She's planning to meet me at the Doctors office (Kailynn has a cold and has been vomiting ... no fever, I think it my be a hernia) at 1PM on Needmore. I'll be taking all three children with me and passing them over to her at the doctors office.

Lord inspire the mother with a drug problem to seek help in the church that you know will be best for her. Send Christians over to her in waves to reason with her and show her that there is a much better way.

Update:

My friend took the children to meet their mother as planned, but the mother never showed up. Mel (my friend) had Children's Services meet her there just in case, and they took the children. The mother made calls to Mel, but the phone numbers she left are no good, so Mel couldn't call her back. Mel is really bummed about the way things turned out. She thought the mother was ready to be a good mother and wanted to give them a hand. But the mother, though she had a good support system and plenty of incentive, decided to blow it off.

Mel's also worried because the mother called children's services and made threats against her and the other people in the ministry that was trying to help her.

Lord, thank you for people like Mel who inspire us all to work and act in your name!

We know that you will keep everyone (especially the children) near to your heart and they will not be abandoned.  If it is your will please open the mother's heart and let your spirit flow inside her...let her see the truth.

Keep your spirit in those children (and all children) let them remember, if only by a tiny imprint on their souls, that Mel and the others cared about them; that they mattered.  Maybe that tiny imprint will keep those children in Your grace.

We pray this in the name of Your Son, Our Savior, Jesus Christ!
