Maybe you should spend more time learning and less time trying to sound like you know what you are talking about. The earth is old, but life on earth is probably rather young measured in thousands instead of millions of years.
For me the distant past applies to the life of stars and galaxies—not our atmosphere.
I suspect that the first creative act of God was marked when God said: “Let there be light.” The reference to the stars is probably an interpolation or an afterthought. I do not believe that the billions of stars were created during the creation week described in Genesis.
Genesis one was written to counteract the prevalent polytheism in Moses’ time.
Now who's dreaming?Stars were made on the day the sun was and that was after our earth. The atmosphere may pre date stars!
Do you mean like you? you are the one without the answers and all the beliefs, all I have seen you do is talk about nothing, you tell everyone they are wrong and that you are the only one with all the answers when you have shown so many times that could not be further from the truth.Maybe you should spend more time learning and less time trying to sound like you know what you are talking about.
Okay, you've had your Jesus moment. Now do you think you might be able to contribute to the topic of the thread, "embedded age".The fact is that Jesus promised to bring it all to their memory by His Spirit.
Jesus honored and fulfilled Scripture. You insult it, and believers of all ages.
That's fine, but I asked a specific question concerning as to how far on the deep past do you think we can look, with respect to "Earth's" physical environment. For me the distant past applies to the life of stars and galaxies—not our atmosphere.
No, all I did was to state a fact. I made no indication one way or the other as to the authenticity or validity. You have now obliterated the value of research. Read the testimony of Luke, who performed this kind of research before writing his epistle. Read Paul’s account and his reference to numerous witnesses who were still alive when he wrote.
Then how do we explain fossils of life being found in layers of sedimentary strata dating back well over 3 Ga (billion years)? The earth is old, but life on earth is probably rather young measured in thousands instead of millions of years.
Then please explain how there was grass, herbs and trees yielding fruit before the sun?Stars were made on the day the sun was and that was after our earth. The atmosphere may pre date stars!
The kingdoms that came and went like obedient lapdog validate scripture.
Those are assertions, not evidence. The flood was like pretty mountain building and Continental drift, and ice age, so where do you expect flood vidence?
What history has validated a recent global flood? Where is the evidence?
“Four hundred feet below the surface, they unearthed an ancient shoreline, proof to Ballard that a catastrophic event did happen in the Black Sea. By carbon dating shells found along the shoreline, Ballard said he believes they have established a timeline for that catastrophic event, which he estimates happened around 5,000 BC. Some experts believe this was around the time when Noah's flood could have occurred. …”

What Ballard is referring to is the well established 8200 event. There are actually more recent papers published than Ballard, et al., which are more robust and conclusive with their data. I'll get back later today with more specific information, but for now its an afternoon with the grandchildren.“Four hundred feet below the surface, they unearthed an ancient shoreline, proof to Ballard that a catastrophic event did happen in the Black Sea. Since you reject the Big Bang, it is, I think, fair to ask how you explain these observations if not as the result of the expansion of the universe from an initial high-density high-temperature state?
I have no need to prove that the flood was global. We may interpret it as a local event by appealing to the language used in the Bible. The story of Joseph states that all the world came to Joseph for food. No one claims that the aborigines from America traveled to Egypt to buy food.Notice the word GLOBAL.
I have no need to prove that the flood was global.
“(Phys.org) —Cosmologist Christof Wetterich of the University of Heidelberg has uploaded a paper to the arXiv server in which he claims it's possible that the theory of expansion of the universe might be incorrect. He suggests instead that the redshift observed by researchers here on Earth might be caused by an increase in the mass in the universe. …”

If this alternative explanation is true, this evidence might be interpreted as evidence for creation when God added matter to the universe.
Do not confuse the observed facts with the interpretation of those facts.Your opinion is noted -- unfortunately, it doesn't match up with what we have been able to observe.
