The record was there before being put in a book. Also, Jesus promised He would guarantee they remembered right. You are questioning God.Actualy, scripture written more than a generation after his death by people who where not even alive when he was. In other words, "hand-me-down-stories", nothing contemporary.
What history has validated a recent global flood? Where is the evidence?
Where is the evidence for a young earth?
The record was there before being put in a book. Also, Jesus promised He would guarantee they remembered right.
You are questioning God.
The fact is that Jesus promised to bring it all to their memory by His Spirit.I just stated a fact dad, nothing more.
No. I am questioning man.
Indeed -- however, the creation of the world as described in Genesis 1-3 is not one such event.
So you claim that God did not create the heavens and the earth as per Genesis? Because He made the stars and sun in creation week, as well as earth.
Funny how science is a lot better than science fiction when it suits your purpose.
The fact that we do not fully understand what goes on inside a singularity is not evidence against that science.
Well, when we dig up a fossil, its pretty clear there was once an animal that had those bones. Fantastic as such an animal would have been, in many cases, they did really exist. And when we examine a piece of volcanic rock, we can pretty much pin down how long ago it was (to the nearest hundred thousand years or so) that it cooled off and became solid.
So you claim that God did not create the heavens and the earth as per Genesis? Because He made the stars and sun in creation week, as well as earth.
I believe that God probably created life on earth in seven literal days, but not the entire universe. Our universe is probably much older than 15 billion years old. I doubt that science will ever be able to compute the age of the universe, and by entire universe I mean what we can observe and what lays behind what we see with our telescopes.
I choose among the alternative options the one that makes to me in light of the evidence I have observed in the past. I can’t do otherwise and still be honest with myself. I hope you do the same!
For me the distant past applies to the life of stars and galaxies—not our atmosphere. With respect specifically to the earth's atmosphere, climate and environment, how far back in the distant past do you think we can go.
You have destroyed all historical facts with a single sentence. History is now a collection of fictional characters.Stories in books are not validation of anything.
Actualy, scripture written more than a generation after his death by people who where not even alive when he was. In other words, "hand-me-down-stories", nothing contemporary.
The earth is old, but life on earth is probably rather young measured in thousands instead of millions of years.Where is the evidence for a young earth?
There is no reason to believe that. What evidence do you have to support that belief? You may as well believe in an crazy unsupported idea. Mentally it is a dead end to do so. "God did it" has never been shown to be the answer. Science has advanced when scientists assumed that problems could be answered. There are two kinds of laws: natural and supernatural. Methinks that singularities belong in the second group. Science men refuse to even consider anything dealing with the supernatural; therefore, they will never be able to explain how singularities behave.
Why on Earth would you believe that life is young? You are aware that there are numerous ways to date life and it is far from young., don't you? There is no scientific evidence that supports young life. The earth is old, but life on earth is probably rather young measured in thousands instead of millions of years.
I believe that every creative act found in Genesis 1 was preceded by the “Let there be …” command. There is no such command in verse one.
