  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

a friend of mine sent me this following statement from his thesis/study on the nature of G-d i wasn't sure of where i should post this however i've always gotten good response and advise from MJ before so i thought i'd ask what are your thoughts on it...Elohim, though He is One, manifests Himself in different forms for human comprehension. For our benefit He appears as "the Heavenly Father," and "The Angel of the LORD," as the "cloud by day and pillar of fire by night," as the Glory of God in the Holy of Holies, as the Messiah (Y'shuah), as the elementary force/particle of nature, or "Spirit of God" who is "in all things, through all things, and causing all things to be," as the "Holy Spirit" who lives in His followers, and in other mysterious forms and variations. In four places in the New Testament book of Revelation, John mentions the "seven spirits of God," or the "sevenfold Spirit of God." We believe that this sevenfold Spirit is the Elohim, and that the seven days of the week were formed to represent the Elohim. Therefore the menorah, or sevenfold lampstand in the temple, with equal branches, none higher or lower than the other, not only represented the seven days of the week but also the "Seven Spirits of God." The "trinity," like the typical Christian shape of the cross which we believe is not what Roman crosses typically looked like, was adopted from pagan religion. Yet there is certainly a truth in the trinity. It is simply a "half-truth," if you will. Mainstream religion typically promotes half-truths. The truth behind the trinity is simply this: the Body, Soul, and Spirit of God. The Body is the Living Word (Messiah) who became flesh and dwelt among Men, both at the creation of the world and at the time of Y'shuah. The Soul of God is God the Father, and the Spirit of God is the invisible and mysterious part of God which is neither specifically His Soul nor created matter. The Spirit of God manifests itself in many ways.

I don't have time to look it up right now (time to get my kids out of bed), but aren't we told to baptize in the name of "the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit"? And Y'shua mostly just talks about his Father, then the Ruach HaKodesh that was to come after Y'shua left.

Just a stab in the dark...
