Elijah called down fire on his enemies. He killed about 150 soldiers. I have prayed for God to kill my enemies. Specifically, I want to see and hear of their funeral. These enemies are purely evil. Demonic. Have committed abominable acts that one can not speak of. This specific enemy purposefully goes around tempting married woman to sin. Has purposely gathered a host against innocent people for his on disgusting glory. He manipulates, lies, is a truce breaker and unmerciful. He does damnable acts to see people cry. He likes to torment people because he feels he’s so powerful. He has abused his power and likes to turn married women into harlots and commit adultery even though he is married. He thinks adultery is ok. He has a family wife and kids. However, that’s not good enough. After women refuse his advances he continues to woo them with lies. I am unsure of how many women he has committed adultery with. He’s disgusting. He tried to turn me into one of his victims. He comes off as a helper of sorts but soon you find he’s is a habitual liar. I am sorry to say but I truly would like to be Elijah and call down fire from heaven to burn him up. Is that wrong? I think not. He has done all types of damnable things for years. He understands it’s wrong but doesn’t care. He wants to see women cry he actually wants to spank abuse women physically to get them to act right and do what he wants them to do. I had this horrible vision of him whooping me. He once yelled several times at me about how much he cares. The rage in his voice was disgusting. He truly disgust me. I almost hate the fact that I once thought of him as a friend or brother. After he insisted on making me a harlot and I refused. I begged him to be my brother he refused. Then he blocked me from being friends with other men. I truly would like to see his death.

Hurt people, hurt people.

Hmmm can you elaborate. So are your saying my enemies are hurting? Or was Elijah butting when he called down fire from heaven? Which one? I do not think my enemy was hurting when he did things to me. He preyed on my purity and passion. Do you think he was hurting when he tried to get me to commit acts of adultery? Threatened to hurt my husband even though he is married.

Have you ever thought that maybe there is a reason he went down this path in life? We are who we are today because of the influences that took place in our life. Christ teaches us to understand others. You think it was against you, but really it may have been reactions to the hurt in his own life.

Being a willing participant in evil. No, i never thought of it. What could be an influence to commit horrible wrongs to someone who asked someone to be their friend? I am open to listen. How can I understand someone if I have asked them to be a friend and turn from these evil acts. They choose not to stop. Instead say they are sorry and continue the behavior.

He truly disgust me.

I begged him to be my brother he refused.

Have nothing to do with him, let those who trust know why you want nothing to do with him.

But
We are told to pray for those who hate, or pescute us, to seek to do them good.
Luke 6:27+28. and Romans 12:17-19.

Love your enemy, bless those who curse you, pray for those who persecute you. Be merciful, even as God as is merciful.

Pray that this man repent and turn from wickedness, for that is the will of God, "Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord GOD, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?" (Ezekiel 18:23)

That is the will of God, abide in His will.

Elijah called down fire on his enemies. He killed about 150 soldiers.
Elijah challenged the false prophets of Baal.
He and they would both offer sacrifices and the god who answered with fire was the true God. The fire consumed the sacrifice not the people.
Elijah, himself, killed the priests of Baal.

Sounds awful. But, unless I'm missing something, Elijah did not destroy people with fire.
Even if he had done, he was OT. Peter and John wanted to destroy unbelievers with fire, and Jesus rebuked them.

Personally, I'd say, either avoid this man or put your energy into doing something positive that will counter what he is doing - like praying. Tell him that Jesus loves him but hates what he is doing. Does his wife know what he is doing? Does he care that he is setting a terrible example for his kids?

Please read 2 Kings 1 10. Elijah said to the captain of fifty. If i be a man of God let fire come down from heaven and kill these men. They were burned up.

The New Testament says after you have given a person 2 admonitions than to deliver them to Satan. When is it ok to pray for a persons demise. Didn’t he say we can ask what we will. He hears our petitions. Didn’t Annanias and Saphira drop down dead for lying to the Holy Ghost and Peter.

This is tough, i would say tell Jesus what you think, give it to Him and trust that He has heard. Explain everything and know that He knows why you distrust and feel hurt by this man. As hard as it is to say i wouldn't ask for His destruction. Jesus knows about this man and is equally disgusted. His life and time on this Earth is Jesus's Grace time for him to repent. Time on earth is short. And as people have said have nothing to do with this man. Those thoughts you had are just thoughts. I am diagnosed in the mental health system and sometimes have intrusive thoughts, but they are not my own and that thought was not yours. Do not overthink it just take it captive give it to Jesus know it's forgiven and not yours and move forward. You are Jesus's child you are protected do not worry. Jesus will take care of you and deal with people like this man. You do not have to take his judgement into your own hands. Just as some advice IF you pray for mercy for him much mercy will be given to you

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Matthew 5:7

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Luke 6:38

Ok, I had forgotten about that.
But these men were challenging Elijah's calling, and position, as a man of God - not objecting to the moral behaviour of another person.
It's still OT, and you have not answered any of my other points - like the one about Jesus rebuking his disciples for wanting to call down fire from heaven.

Yes, in the New Testament Jesus rebuked his disciples. However, Jesus informed Peter in the garden of Getsemane to put down his sword and that he had a legion of angels to fight at his disposal. My point is there is a time when we need to pick up the sword and fight. Gods sword word of arm yourself as soldiers

I'd say, almost never. Unless that person was very ill/dying and in great pain with no possibility of a cure. Even then, I'd pray that the Lord would do what was best for them.
The New Testament also tells us to forgive our enemies, to be perfect as God is perfect and to forgive 70x7.
Didn’t he say we can ask what we will. He hears our petitions.
If we ask according to his will, and with his authority.
This is what "in his name means".
Didn’t Annanias and Saphira drop down dead for lying to the Holy Ghost and Peter.
You've said it yourself; they lied to the Holy Spirit.
They did not engage in dubious moral behaviour so that Peter said "I'm going to pray that God will kill you." In fact, Peter didn't pray anything - he just pointed out what they had done.

We are told to bless and curse not. To deliver to Satan was relating to putting someone out of the church and have no fellowship with him, that’s how that person was delivered to Satan. We are told to ask what we will according to His will. God’s will is that we pray for those who despitefully use us, and that will bring down coals of fire on their heads. Look at Jesus who was meek and lowly. We must learn to be like Christ before our enemies.

We are not judge, jury, and executioners. God will repay.

Pray for your enemies and God will bless you and the situation far beyond what you can imagine. He will work it out. You might just get your vindication, but God’s way, not yours.

I understand. However, I believe Gods will is to repay my enemies with death and pull them out of their office. Evil in high places. . Pull down the evil that has caused countless of people to die from overdose deaths because they play God with peoples lives. They know that many die because of lack of funding. However they refuse to assist. God is calling for his people to stand up and take back the nation Jeremiah 1

It's never okay to pray for someone's demise. That is contrary to the will of God. When someone is evil, you respond with love and mercy. When someone hates you, you pray for them. When someone curses you, you bless them. "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay" says God. And that's a good thing, because when God brings all things to the resolution of His will, it will be infinitely better than anything we could ever hope or fathom, because He will accomplish His righteousness for the universe and set all things to rights. And that setting all things to rights includes not only your justification, but also your sanctification as He invites you, calls you, draws you, and changes you to be more like Him--as you take up your cross and follow after the One who laid down His life for sinners. Confess your sins, repent, pray that God will continue to heal and change you, that your heart be renewed in the love of Christ which He has even for the most wretched and wicked of sinners. That you learn mercy, forgiveness, patience, and develop a life of prayer which looks at even the most callous and degenerate with mercy; not making excuses for their evil, but rather to pray that they too are brought humbly before the foot of the cross in repentance.

For the will of God is revealed, He desires that the wicked repent and live. He is the God of life who desires even our enemies to prosper through repentance and a transformed life. The grace that He has for you, revealed through the suffering and death of Jesus Christ, is the same grace that He has for the worst, for the most evil, for the most unfaithful, unkind, and wicked people in this world.

Therefore, do not be overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good. When you are struck on the one cheek, turn and offer the other. When you are oppressed and commanded to walk one mile, walk another mile. When you are deprived of your cloak, offer up your shirt as well. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful; who shows His kindness even to the thankless and the wicked, who sends His rain upon the righteous and the wicked alike.

That sounds good. However, there are people systems in our nation that are controlled by evil people in high places. It’s for the radical and Holy Ghost filled saints to stand and say no. Demand Justice. Cry out for the poor the unjust racist and bias systems that are controlled by men. Think of slavery. Will it still be going on if there wasn’t a war and people died?

I truly would like to see his death.
Perhaps this scripture might be useful:

Do not fret because of those who are evil
or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither,
like green plants they will soon die away.
Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. (Psalm 37:1-3) God Bless :)

Thank you- my focus is on trying to do good the calling that God has for me. The enemies of mine try and stop the good work I’m doing. But as you say I will focus on the goodness of God! Thank you much God is soo good. I understand Ray for God to vindicate. But don’t put your focus on when and how. Just do his good work!! Thank you this has truly helped me.

Elijah, and others like him sought retribution, not because they were his enemies but because they were, in effect, mocking God or otherwise obviously rebellious against God.

Jesus wasn't exactly loving and merciful casting out the money-changers at the temple. David was also zealous for God's sake many times, and wanted to see his enemies destroyed. Read Psalm 109 for an example, but afterwards read again vss 21 and 30, 31.

He over-turned their tables and drove out the animals with a cord. The grammar of the text makes it clear that it was the animals that He drove out. He didn't cause harm to those who were being corrupt, but He did disrupt their wickedness through the act and speak judgment--but when God speaks judgment it is always in the call and invitation to repentance. For God declares He has no desire for the destruction of the wicked, but rather desires their repentance so that they might live.

On the contrary, then, Jesus' actions in the Temple were an act of mercy toward the poor and the oppressed, an act of judgment against the corrupt and the wicked; and as the Law is always preached to condemn sin and to drive sinners to repentance so here too that is the case.

The truth is always good, though it is often a hard pill to swallow, and some even choke on it. But you said:
ViaCrucis said:

David prayed for someone's demise.

Of course! But in the final analysis, doing what some consider loving and such is not the point of how we deal with others. But there's no generic "final evaluation" here, but to deal in truth.
