Elf Hunters!

How many of you tire of 3,000 year old elves, immortal, classy and much better looking than us mere humans? Who would be interested in creating characters designed to hunt these reminders of our own mortality and boorishness? This isn't for an rpg, but to encourage creation of Elf Hunters. Really, can't you elves learn to be more like your brother, dwarf? What a weird word, dwarf. It starts with 'd', and then it has a 'w', followed by 'arf'. It must be a code...
That is how an elf hunter thinks. They can be human, dwarf or even half-elfs angry at having a taste of being an elf but no more. I will create the first elf hunter, unless someone beats me.

I will take that notion to beat you to it. I think Elves are the "We're too cool, and we kick too much butt.....and really we don't need anyone else because we're so perfect."-type of characters. I love and enjoy the race of the dwarf, so my first respect is to pay homage to all those dwarves and dwarf-lovers out their, like myself.

Character #1 of an Elf Hunter:

Name: Arnator G'lesik
Race: Veeran Dwarf
The usual muscular build of a dwarf, short and built, yet, instead of the usual curly hair, they sport a straight and long look. Neither do they look the classic "fat" style - they are genetically strong, making them have that ripped look even at a young age. This also makes them more agile. An agile dwarf? Absolutely! These buggers, the Veeran Dwarves, have special abilities in the art of athletics and acrobatics. Another plus to the Veeran Dwarf is not his IQ, his book smarts, but his "street smarts" - his wisdom. Most Veeran Dwarves lack book smarts, but their ability to assess a situation, and know what to do makes them last much longer in the long run both physically and mentally.
Occupation: Why, Elf-Hunter of course!
Armed: with a Warhammer, however, this Warhammer would have the magic of dwarves imbued within it - Runes. The runes would ward off any magical spells one were to use w/in a 40 foot area. Also armed with poisoned throwing-axes that reduce the speed of a foe. One quick slice with this special neuro-poison could take down even the fastest of creatures.

So, for those magical Elves, he could negate their magic. For the not-so-magical one's.... your Legolas', he would use the throwing-axes.

Bio: Maldirk is, in fact, a hunter of elves. He himself, is a half-elf (half-human, as his prey call him). He was spawned out of a marriage made for political purposes between his elven father and human mother. He has grown to despise his elven heritage, feeling superior to the humans, but taunted always by the longer life and sophisticated culture of the elves. This drove him to be what he is today, a ruthless, evil Elf Hunter. He is one of the common characters in children’s stories. In some societies he is a hero, in others a villain.
Appearance: He doesn’t seem to have much human in him at all. He is heavier and taller than an elf, yet could also be a light human. He bears the elves’ chiseled, hawkish features, which allow him to pass as an elf if no one looks to closely.

Arms and Armor: The vorpal two-handed sword he uses as his weapon-of-choice is ornately decorated around the hilt. It is not fitted with jewels, but gives the appearance of thick threads of gold woven together. The blade is long and thin, and the can be wielded surprisingly fast; the two hands are needed mainly for balance, not for swinging the sword.

He wears strong black plate armor, but has a white robe edged with red over the sleeves to be stylish. He is a noble, and looks are important.

Personality: Maldirk fits the stereotypical 'royal brat' label. He laughs sadistically as his victims scream while he slowly cuts them to pieces. In a battle, he will not try to kill an opponent outright, but will attempt to severe their limbs and heads. This sometimes leads to an injury by itself, as he will forget his goal of killing an opponent for his objective of disabling them, and may go out of his way to do so. He boasts, "Where I walk, pieces of my foes scatter like rice at an expensive wedding." He is no bard, but he is skilled in guile.

He is, of course, no fool to be so feared: if he meets an elf out of place, he won’t reveal his identity or kill it until he is led to the elves home.

He does not, of course, kill elven children or hurt women of non-elven races; he is far too civilized for that barbarism.

She's actually a character in a game, but she would fit here nicely.

NAME: Her Christian name is Celeste (“From the Heavens”) but she changed it to Laraine (“Sorrowful”). Most often she will use the alias Lucrece (“Bringer of Light”) with new acquaintances.

GENDER: Female

RACE: Human

CLASS: Sorceress

APPEARANCE: She normally wears dark red robes and carries a sturdy magical staff that doubles as a walking stick. She has a bad limp in her right foot and is disfigured with scars. Oftentimes though, she will make herself appear differently to others using her dark magic.

PERSONALLITY: Serious and untrusting. She always tries to trick people for her own ends. She’s vengeful and has taken it as her personal mission to exact revenge on the entire elvish race for what was done to her.

BACKGROUND: When she young, she was strong in her Christian faith and was a sweet and joyful young woman. At the age of 16 she was captured by some elvish sorcerers who did horrible experiments on her that caused the disfigurements that she has to this day. Once these elves had no more use for her, they threw her out and left her for dead. But she refused to die.

Because of what had happened to her, she to an oath to destroy all elves. She lost her faith because she saw God as weak and uncaring against the evil elves’ magic. She changed her name to Laraine because she could never imagine feeling happy again. She took up sorcery herself to fight the elves and became very powerful in it. She became very adept in illusion and was able to make herself appear in different forms to trick elves so they would be more vulnerable. She hides under the name Lucrece as a form of irony, since she comes to bring anything but light to the elves.

After becoming a powerful sorceress, she saved a dragon from some elvish dragon slayers and healed it of its wounds. Mycherus, the dragon, and her became fast friends. He is the only one that she confides and trusts in. They both share the common hatred for elves. Though her magic, Laraine has made it possible for her to communicate telepathically with the dragon. Since he is a dragon and has the special vision of dragons, he can see though magic and therefore know whom Laraine is no matter what form she takes.

Good, but there are thousands of elves and only three elf hunters! We need more to exterminate this horrid race of arragant fools.

Dragons are tough. If you try to get them while they sleep, they use the wings to blow away the group. Then as they run back they are exterminated one by one. After the fire/ice/chlorine/acid thing, they can kill you just by flicking you.

Since we need more numbers and dragons are extrememly cool and powerful, I will bring up an old character of mine with a few modifications:

NAME: Belfur

GENDER: Male

RACE: Dragon

APPEARANCE: Black with red eyes. He's extremely obese, since he's a rather gluttonous dragon and has been known to eat entire villages in a single go.

PERSONALLITY: Friendly in a rude, annoying, intrusive way. Loves to eat!

BACKGROUND: He loves to eat, but unforuntatly, that passion has caused him to be extremely overweight. It's not too great for a dragon to be too overweight, since it can hinder the flying ability and other health problems, of course. Looking for a suitable diet, he has decided only to dine on elves, since they're probably the leanest of the races. So now he strickly attacks elvish villiages and completely destroys them.

So how's that, eh? Tips the odds a bit!
