Elevated was I, in lowliness of mind
From the broad way of doom.
A strath-full of misled souls flowing to hell,
Yet its debris exulted in my fall
From mans narrow point of 'wide' wisdom
Unto His divine presence of love.
The Holy Fisherman fished me,
Aroused and shined His light in me,
Leading me in a narrow 'mundane' road to truth,
To freedom, by His restraining grace of wisdom.
Whenever I doubt my eternity,
At the crossroads of my past in my future,
Envious from light when I peek at darkness,
Whose end is written at it's beginning,
At the glories of vanity pride,
That denies the source of its blessings,
I see it all, after sallying into evil.
For even Satan would praise God
In wisdom, for the grace of life despite sin
And rebellion; for all was and is at his mercy
Mountains of iron with feet of clay, invincible,
Doomed to fall in dark oblivion, in choice
At the slightest stirring, by gales of holy breath.
Thus enlightened in divine wisdom was I,
For fallen greatness is but a second to
His 'austerity' of eternal happiness and joy
Which begins on earth, and ever lasts in heaven.
My fall from mans vainglories
Was my elevation to Gods Kingdom, saved.
I chose the narrow way to life, Christ,
And left the broad 'exciting' path to death
...A footnote of false happiness,
In eternal chapters of teeth gnashing!
