CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

LORD,
We ask for Your intercession for our country, our leaders and our people. Bring them LORD back to You. Restore the United States to a nation that is proud to be Christian. We especially ask for thy guidance as we go to the polls on Tuesday. Lead each of us to cast our vote for the candidates who will serve You. May the election go smoothly. May the rancor that has been so prevalent the last few months be set aside and may we move forward with unity and compassion. May thy chosen candidates ever be mindful that they serve because You have given them that privilege. Watch over and protect those You have placed in authority over us. Guide them through the indwelling of thy HOLY SPIRIT and bless them abundantly.
In JESUS we pray

LORD, we may all have our own veiws on who we would like to win. But let it not be our will that is done, but yours. You know who is the right man for America. Let him be chosen and let him be blessed. Guide him to make wise decisions which will make both America and the world a better place to live in. Let the world become more peaceful and let the war against terror be won by whoever is in charge.
Lord I also pray for free and fair elections. Let all those who are eligable to vote, vote!! We dont want any mix up or legal scandals. Let there be no dirty tricks by either side.

Please Keep America safe tomorrow as citizens go out to vote for president and other leaders. Lead people's hearts and minds in the voting booth. Help people pray over this matter. Please help us Americans stand proud and unified together no matter what the outcome. We pray for those who are dishonest and will participate in voter fraud. Please shed light on their actions. Thank you God, for creating America where we have the freedom to worship you, and the freedom to tell others about you. Help us choose our leaders that will not take that right away from us.
