  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

You want the facts- that abortion business has been increasing since Bush has taken office? Sure thing. I attached it at the bottom of my post from www.sojo.net

Now why dont you back what you said up with facts?
Show me one news article where it says its *IMPOSSIBLE* to get a partial birth- because from what I know: its "frozen" and hasnt gone all the way.

Thank you feo. You beat me to it.

Godschosengirl - also check out The Ministry of the Johnston Family. This is a conservative Christian organization that lays out many reasons why a Christian should not vote for Bush. I don't agree with every single point made, but it sure does open ones eyes a bit.

....so you are voting for someone that is for legalizing drugs "the first day he is in office" and pro-abortion?????

(i just checked out badnarik's website)

As has been discussed, Bush can barely be labeled pro-life. At least Badnarik is against government funding of abortion. I'm tired of my tax dollars being given to agencies that perform abortions.

As for drugs, I don't see the "war on drugs" solving our problems. I think that he lays out his stance on this issue very reasonably. See here for more info Sorry, I don't have more time to go into detail at the moment. I have to leave for work in a couple minutes.

I never said that Badnarik is the perfect candidate, but we've only got so much to work with. Did you take the time to read any of his other platforms? I don't agree with him on every issue, but who does agree with their candidate on every single issue?

People don't know Kerry's plan because the man doesn't have one.
Bush will win, but if it is a narrow win, Kerry will steal the election, he has 15,000 laywers deployed in key states to protest all votes that are close and don't go his way. The last election debacle was the harbinger of the future election process.

Kerry is a man who I know in my heart would be a terrible choice for our leader, both because he is patently immoral and because he would not have the strength of character to stand alone in the goal of protecting America from terrorists.

I am on my knees in the next 24 hours that Kerry will lose.

Aah dear sister in Christ you echoed what I feel deeply in my own heart. I am on my knees as well. :prayer:

I am voting for Bush because he has good Christian morals.

I don't agree with everything Bush did this past term, but no matter who you vote for you will not agree with everything they do. That is just a fact of reality. Everyone has their weaknesses. I'm going for who I feel God is telling me to vote for. I'm not letting the war on Iraq influence my way of how to vote. I'm not letting anyone else tell me how to vote.

When was lieing and sending people to die good christian morals?

IMHO, Bush is not a Christian. He is a politician first and foremost and will tell anybody anything he thinks will keep him in office. If he thought pandering to Islamics would win him the election, you can bet we would be seeing an amendment to ban pork going through congress.

What was President Bush suppose to do when we were attacked on 9/11? I suppose people like you would just have been passive about the attack and sit back and do nothing about it and say "oh well, we've been attacked". What kind of leader would he be if he would have just turned the other way and ignored what happened? Look at all the terrorists (evil people) who were captured when we went to Iraq. Even God lets good leaders, like President Bush, send troops to enemy countries to protect the innocent. The only murderers I see in this situation are the ones that attacked America. That was the work of the devil, not President Bush.

This election won't be decided in the courts--Bush won it, fair, square, and VERY easily, at the end of it. Just because Kerry isn't man enough to admit that he lost doens't mean it is close.

I'm praising God all day today for his watching over this great victory for life, liberty, safety, and peace!!

I think now all the arguing over Ohio is kind of moot. Even though I was pulling for John Kerry I think he should just tip his hat to the winner and take a step back. I hope that people will be able to accept that President Bush has been re-elected and just go on with their lives.

People like me would have gone after Osama, you know the guy who did it? Not made up some BS excuse about WMDs and "connections" to go after the guy who made my daddy look bad.

I'm glad that Bush won. I know that a lot of people don't like him or think he is evil but a man who once said "It's clearly a budget. It's got a lot of numbers in it." and "Families is where our nations hope is. Where wings take dream." can't be all bad.:)

What about a man that said, "We will capture those responsible for 9/11," and "I promise, Iraq has WMDs."

We are trying to find Osama. Why do you think we sent troops to Iraq in the first place? Osama is still at large...not President Bush's fault. The president knows terrorism will not completely come to a halt. But we have to do whatever we can to prevent it and weaken the terrorists' powers. I like what someone else on here said on one of the other posts. Freedom isn't free. We went over there justly. We captured Saddam and are still trying to find bin Laden.

Who are we to say that there are not any WMD's out there? We don't know everything. Maybe the government knows something we don't. They are not going to tell us everything because it would maybe give our strategy away to the enemy. I work somewhere that has a lot of proprietary information and I'm not allowed to discuss it with anyone...so goes the same for people in the White House.

I know I wouldn't want to be president because that is a position only very few are called to do. You never know what you might have to put up with if you are given that kind of leadership. I trust our president and pray that the Lord's will be done in situations he may face...or what situations our country may face.
