So, why do you hate Germany?

first the attitude of many germans.
second the policy here. the rich are getting richer and richer and the poor are getting poorer and poorer. they are coating more and more social benefits and there are families who don't have enough money to buy food everyday. they can't buy new cloth for their kids. and it's getting worther and worther from day to day. :(

Well those are some really good points everyone, im sure ill bring them up in German class today.

What do you think about the "Fuhrerschein" in Germany?
that is our current topic in German.

do you mean drivers licence?

you have to be 18 to drive a car but there are states here in GER where you can drive a car when your 17 but a parent have to be in that car too. and there are people who want that also 16 years old can make their drivers licence but i think that's wrong. coz most accidents are made by young drivers. so i think 18 is a good age to start driving. and you have to go to a driving school to make your licence. you have two tests. one is the practical one where you have to drive the other one about the theoretical things you learned like the rules on the streets, the signs and so

hm it depends on the school. coz every school has it's own prices. but all in all i think it's to expensive. that's why young people who live near the border to poland or the czech republic go there to make their licence coz it's much cheaper. but they want to make laws now that they have to do their licence in GER.
but i dunno how much it costs in other countries like usa, france or australia.

For our Learners driving Licence, we pay a total of $32 and sit a 30 question writen test.

our parents then teach us to drive, and our actual licence is about another $30
so pretty cheap really
and we only have one practical driving lesson,
no night drives, or the other types that are required in germany

Maria :) -
I dont wanna rain on your *Australia: YEAH!!*- parade; but
why do people assume forever: 'the grass is Greener on the other :D side'.

I know 4 seperate families from Australia:
1. a Medical-student (1975)
and
2. 2 mothers, 1 moved to Canada to marry a 2nd. husband & now raising 5 kids. And her other sister makes trips to USA annually, for work.
and
3. 2 other families, and they complain about much the same things as you just mentioned.

You see, these 'supposed Social' - problems are by no means (nor stretch of the imagination) -
Unique
to Australia, or Austria, or Deutschland, or USA, or where-ever.
It's a GLOBAL-crisis, and its' only gonna get worse, lots worse.
I'm sorry
to burst any bubbles; but this was ALL foretold in the Bible. For instance, there are now another
2 WW's in the making, (which will make the 2 in the last century look like child's play) - &
at least 1 will play-out in the Middle-east.

So, the BEST you can do is make *sure*:
you are SAVED in God's kingdom, and your Faith stays STRONG

never said that everything is better there. germany has (had) one of the best social systems in the world. so that's not the reason y i want 2 go 2 australia. the people are not so closed-minded (?) like in GER and the weather is better than here ;) australia has all i want. it's wild (outback) and you have so many different culteres there. you have big cities on the coasts like sydney or perth but if you go into the country you have all those wild and undiscovered places.
