just wondering if anyone here actually met on eharmony, and if so how long did it take you and your SO to be matched? or if anyone had any experiences they can share with me i'd love to hear that too

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I met someone I dated for about a month on E-harmony. We lacked Chemistry but everything else about her was just fine.
If you are going to try a dating site I think E-harmony is probably one of the better ones. They can basically narrow people down so that you won't be seeing people who arn't really marriage material. However the thing they can't really test for (that no one can test for) is Chemistry, which can only be established by meeting in person.
I do recommend it for a little while. The biggest problem with it is that people seem to narrow you out and you arn't sure why. And the second biggest problem is that as your list gets narrowed down it seems to widen the geographical range to keep your list populated. At first I was only getting people who where an hour away or less. But later on I was getting people who where 6 to 8 hours of driving distance away.
So its probably worth it to try it for a few months and see how it goes. But don't be afraid to cancel it later on.

yeah i've been a nonpaying member for a little while now and decided to take advantage of a three month subscription sale they had. if i meet someone then yay! if not, then i didn't waste too much money. so far they seem to be pretty good about staying relatively close to me geographically. so we'll see i guess

I did the three month subscription. I met with one girl, and she was a harlot. Basically, the most expensive matchmaking site is not any better than the free ones.

there is one guy thats really gotten my attention, but i suspect he's not a subscriber. we sent eachother icebreakers saying we would like to talk about a week ago, and i sent him a message but haven't heard from him yet. so far he's kept the match open though. so i guess time will tell
